Opportunity for someone else - or at least an opportunity for his critics to miss him?

It's an opportunity for somebody else looking at it positively. In a strange way at the right time with a new head coach coming in with their own ideas.

It is also an opportunity for the new head coach to sort out our piss poor defending from the flanks, with their own ideas.

Not surprised he's out for so long, looked really bad when he did it.
As others have said we do at least have options, decent chance for EMC on the left tbh.

Without wishing to be too dramatic, that's terrible news if it's true. That leaves us with a massive hole to fill in our goalscoring, we've not had anyone else so far this season who looks to be such a consistent threat.

If it is 12 weeks then he’s going not going to be fully fit till Feb. That’s a huge loss as he’s our main goalscorer. Too many bad omens this season.

Simms really need to step up now and a big chance for Bassette to get more game time.

Hate to see the squad weakened like this. But I do think EMC has the potential to shove some people's words down their throats if this opens the door for him in the next few months.

I really hope we see a huge step in the development of Bassette, up front next to Simms, or EMA getting to grips with the league on the left. Hopefully at least some positive will come out of this.
