Very good performance from England last night, with a weakened team.

I thought Curtis Jones had a very good game and so too, Guehl and Bellingham, particularly. Pickford was at his best too

Gordon and Madueke both looked threatening and I thought Hall, when he came on, looked like he had been playing for England for years. Definitely one for the future.

Certainly highlighted that if Carsley hadn’t played silly buggers at Wembley we’d be on 100%

I’ve been very impressed with Hall this season and last night he looked so comfortable when he came on.

Could be the long term solution to that troubled left back position.

Was just googling him and randomly he went to the same private school as Simon Cowell.

Tbh I don't see that lineup as weakened in any significant way.

I see what you mean, player for player it looks weaker but as a team it looks better (if that makes sense)?

I get what you're saying as a unit, but there's no way a team/squad missing Trent, Stones, Rice, Foden, Palmer, Grealish etc could be considered stronger.

Yup. It was much more balanced wasn't it, instead of having to try and shoe-in the bigger stars like Foden and Kane etc.

The one player I don't rate (he wasn't too bad at all last night to be honest) is Gallagher. But I can see why we need that sort of player in that side.

Tonight's line-up.

I think I would have stuck with Watkins to be honest, but that should still be enough to see off the Republic of Ireland.

Glad Hall is in. He looked really assured on Thursday

Upto now it's all very boring isn't it , a couple of bright moments but we need to be better and we need to mix it up

Don't really rate madueke
Whether we do or not, he's the only one who has gone past a man. Ebosele has Gordon's measure. I'd take Kane off based on this half. Bellingham looks like he's sulking, the Irish are pumped up at p8ssing England off.

Very poor half.

I agree with Fernando and I think Kane's international days are numbered.

I think I would mainly have him as an option from the bench.

He disrupts our shape and he's definitely slowed down a bit too.
