Why are England so poor at home?
In part because many teams come here and defend very deeply and therefore it's harder to break them down.

Tonight though, we are too slow it's just going out the wings and then back to the middle again and then the same thing happens on the other wing.

Is there Var? If so can’t understand why the short pull wasn’t looked at/given for the rig on the Irish lads shirt.
Very poor half by England…not getting it wide or forward quick enough. And like a few above I can’t see what Kane has contributed in that 45.

Hopefully people who want Carsley here are reconsidering based on this. Reminds me of a Cov game where we struggle to break down crap opposition

Carsley has had one shocking game but we've been pretty decent for the rest of the games.

Whether he's your first choice or not I think it'd be daft to turn your nose up at him.

Once England take lead and Irish down to 10 the space opens up and England can get ball moving quicker. If they want to England can probably score at will
Yup, exactly. And that IS when Kane is an asset. When there's space and on the counter.attack,. because the opposition have had to push out.

What does Nations league promotion even mean?
You go I to the A tier, so will play competitive games against stronger teams. Where as in tier B, we have had Greece (42nd), Finland (66th) and Ireland (63rd) in world rankings

Thomas Tuchel certainly has a large pool of very good young talent to work with.
Indeed.

I have been so impressed with Guehl. He looks to have cemented a place in the defence now for certain and I really like the look of Hall. He fitted straight in and looked like he had been an international for years.

Under Carlsley it's been good to see Gomes and Jones looking decent and Gordon has staked a permanent claim too to be included in the side.

We do seem to have a wealth of talent now and it's brilliant that some of that appears at last to be amongst defenders.

Livramento wasn't quite as impressive as others but it would be good to see more of him in an England shirt.

Had it not been for the Greece loss, Carsley would’ve been offered the role full time imo.

I genuinely think it could’ve been a mistake hiring Tuchel so soon after that loss.
