Get a sense from hearing about connections outside of football between King and Lampards extend family and the confirmation of Lampard being in the running at the fans forum.

Was this always Dougs thinking even before the Derby game and he has simply been saluting the process?

Whoever gets the job will get my full support.
I just want the position filled sooner rather than later!
The season can be rescued as it’s still early days and hopefully we will strengthen in January and kick on next year!
This is what I want for Christmas!!!

87 pages of drivel and he hasn't been appointed. Could this beat the Connor Chaplin eleventy billion pages before he does or doesn't sign?
It's a joke really what is it 10 days gone, all the time in the world to piss about, while everyone vents their spleen on here ripping candidates apart!
Who is winning in this battle, almost like here's what you could have had going from the most dynamic brand to also rans, it certainly won't endear us to the stadium ownership company which will be dependent on seats occupied, wouldn't want that tailing off, but they were I'd wager and that would have been noticed, sure they.may have more to waste.yet in their pursuit of planning etc!

I’m not originally from Earlsdon I’m from Cheylesmore, worked plenty of hours and overtime, saved up some money and bought a house did it up, onto the next.

The goal is to live in a good area rather than somewhere you don’t want to live, live in your mums spare room in your 40s or wait for inheritance.

nah, but if it makes feel better about your house in Spon End then crack on
You need to relax a little. I’ve called Doug stuck up and a toff for how he’s responded to questions, avoiding the point or scoffing at anyone asking questions - before we even get on to how he handed disabled tickets etc. Doug smacks of middle class entitlement.

If you’ve got a bee in your bonnet about who’s got what, or Earlsdon (which is lovely with a few coffee shops and pubs but hardly Alderley Edge 😂) that’s your problem. I’ve not alleged I’m better than anyone else. Get off the forums and start working some overtime, Patrick.

Frank’s first chocolate bar as City boss:

Twix 5/1
Dairy Milk 3/1
Crunchie 10/1
Curly Wurlie 7/1
KitKat 4/1
Caramel Evens
Caramilk 2/5
Wagon Wheel 1/10
I'd take the 5/1 shot all day.

King has done what I think most of us thought he would do and been reeled in by a high profile media name. Lampard will be picked apart by savvy championship operators. Having said that he’ll be our manager so if he gets it I’ll back him all the way.

If Lampard does get the job whether he gets picked apart or not depends on who gets the assistant coaching role and their involvement on match day.

Well if it is Frank then he should get Doug to swallow his pride and get on the phone to Adi. Hopefully it won't be Jodi Morris as his No. 2

I'd be happy with Lampard. Got Derby to a playoff final, prem and champions league experience. How many other applicants have that?

And its not just about his historic results with another club, it's about putting systems in place, which is what dk is doing.

Finally, people say he's 'just a name'. Ok, but that's an advantage. Football is commercial, and he will help thst side. Plus, we know for a fact we missed out on big deals over the summer. If lampard is here, I think its more likely they might have come off.

Agree on everything other than the last sentence. That’s a loser’s mentality and appointments as shocking as FL will have us back in League 1 with the likes of Slade, Pressley and Dowie back managing us in front of a half empty stadium.

Us going from Robins to Lampard is like going from Margot Robbie to Kerry Katona. No wonder Doug King is 57 and a single divorcee
