It was a horrible night at Bramall Lane... seeing Moldovan miss chance after chance & worrying that we let them back in... then David Holdsworth hit that volley... less said about the pens!

I think it was more a chance to get to Wembley... we'd have given Newcastle a good run for their money at Old Trafford, but Arsenal were a bloody good team then, and we'd have fallen short like Newcastle.
Yeah that was one of the most pissed off Ive been after a game. We had a good side that year and should have beaten them. That Moldovan miss from that header inthe box I could have scored . Reckon we’d have beaten Newcastle but as you say Arsenal’s side was very good and think they’d have beaten us in the final.

Personally given the circumstances I would prefer a defensive approach with three at the back and Da Silva and Van Ewik as wing backs, and work from there. Torp, Sheaf (hopefully) and Eccles in the midfield, Simms up front with either EMC or Norman. I thought EMC looked a lot better in the 2nd half against Derby, but he is not the most alert player.

Looking at their forum they really are a special bunch
Reckon we have forced a rivalry with them when let's be honest , most of us couldn't give a rats arse about them.
They're the least significant club in Sheffield let alone in our thoughts.

This post will appear on their weekly 'view from...' thread where they get excited by opposition fans saying things that aren't nice about them.

I've already seen a post suggesting it's our 'cup final'. Same old 😂

I don't want hear one rendition of any song relating the Hamer, O'Hare or Mark Robins during the 90 minutes.

Agree, there shouldn’t be any songs re COH or Hamer, before, during or after the game. Or at all really.

An MR chant is likely and fine, it’ll be the first time the majority of fans have been to a game since his sacking and will want to show their thanks/respect/displeasure.

As long as it doesn’t turn negative, it’s fine.

To be fair to the poor lambs, they don't figure in two of the top trivia facts that spotty teenage boys use to try and impress uninterested teenage girls about the lovely city of Sheffield.

Oldest football club in the world?

Why are they called Sheffield Wednesday?

Definitely agree with the MR chant. I'm glad that I got to belt out the song one last time in Boro after a win.

Tin foil hat time but is it completely crazy to think that the manager situation is resolved but holding fire after the first home game after the sacking?

There is absolutely no reason to sing the O'Hare/ Hamer song. It would be embarrassing.

The weather is going to be a total leveller. Not a time to pussyfoot at the back. Going to be mistakes galore.

Struggling to get my normal buzz for this one. The lack of movement on a manager/coach is top priority.

Potential to be painfully cringey on Saturday. Fans fawning over ex players. Said ex players not celebrating goals ( self indulgent crap) and people concentrating on singing songs about the ex manager . All ending with O Hare and Hamer doing a lap of honour with Blades fans promising to look after them

I hate everything about Sheffield United. Never liked them and I hope the players are up for it. Depends what team attitude turns up tomorrow but we need to give everything and get 3points.

But it’ll also be the first time the fans have seen Hamer and O’Hare since they left.

I think the Robins and Anti King songs should be left in Sunderland, time to get behind the players.

Hamer and O’hare should be ignored.

Is honouring the best manager in a generation somehow not getting behind the players?

Wasn’t bothered but with all the diktats on behaviour being given out I’ll sing what the fuck I want in the first chance to express myself since the sacking. Same for the first game one of my favourite players is back. Same as I clapped Maddison at the end of the game. Same as I’d clap Vik.

Guess you’re just going to have to sit in your seat and cringe about how everyone isn’t as grown up and serious as you.

They've not blown anyone away, shithoused their way to a lot of narrow wins, which i guess is expected from Wilder and that club in general. I do fancy us for a point but lets see how the players have coped being in limbo land this last week or so. Wright being injured is also far from ideal and damages our chances lets be honest, but i hope someone else can stand up and be counted and start getting among the goals.

1-0 to us, with a 90th minute winner from Gus. Agent Hamer, your mission if you choose to accept it, is…

We will win with a 95th minute screamer from Tats.
O’Hare and Gus momentarily forget themselves with Gus running to singers corner to celebrate whilst O’Hare does his best liam gallagher impression in front if the deflated Sheffield fans following the defeat in their cup final.

Hold up a candle on 7 minutes.

Sheffield Utd are not a freescoring team, they've scored a goal less than we have. They are strong defensively though.
