Christ not good enough for you? City fans are so hard to please. Tend to agree about Keane as his assistant though.
I do think that's why Keane is still living and breathing to this very day

They asked Jesus, "how do you like the idea of someone else being crucified alongside you", and he said "Not Keane."

The rest is history and meant Robbie was free to join us down the line.

People need to get a grip. Yes we're excited to know who it will be, but these things take some time.

Even people complaining the process has been poorly conducted, when they clearly know nothing about thst process.

Bizarre
Didn't you know that the done thing in here is to assume the worst about absolutely everything?

This is elite sport. Of course they are all capable of playing this amount of matches. But, against other elite sports teams, the margins are so slim, and 1% less fatigue can make all the difference. When you have a fatigued Bobby Thomas running on empty against Hull 3 days after playing 120 minutes in the biggest game of his career, with no backup to replace him with, it's a miracle we only lost 3-2 against playoff rivals Hull. Losing that game pretty much ended our playoff hopes.

Again, the fine mental margins of not needing points against Ipswich who desperately needed them for promotion was probably the difference in the slender 2-1 nothing (for us anyway) defeat against Ipswich.

Against Southampton away, one of the best teams in the division, we missed a penalty early on, and a horrendous goalkeeper error, resulting in a slender 2-1 defeat away from home.

The only one from last season you can deservedly throw shit at is the Birmingham away implosion, but again, we aren't the first team to take our eye off the ball for one game when we have the biggest game of many of the players careers coming up, against a team fighting for their lives.
Exactly this, i always get so frustrated with the 'they're professional athletes they should be able to play two games in a week'
YES, but you dont expect a professional 10,000m runner to run a PB on Sunday and then beat that again on Tuesday. Could they complete the 10k on tuesday? Yes obviously.

As this post says, they went from 120 minutes of the biggest game of their career, incredibly physically and importantly emotionally draining, then straight into an effectively play off deciding game a few days later. This is why the big teams are the big teams, because they have the strength in depth to rotate players in order to be at their best as a team in all of the big games come the end of the season.

If its Lampard just get it over and done with.

Bit ridiculous if, and not sure its been confirmed, there's some connection between King and / or Austin and Lampard and it ends up being him we're expected to believe nobody had considered he might be in the frame prior to sacking Robins.

No one has suggested that the club hadn’t considered who might succeed Robins. What was said was that no one had been approached or discussions held. One is succession planning which is very different to actively searching for a replacement.

Personally I find that a bit disingenuous if your succession plan is 'my mate Frank will take over'. If that'st the case I find it very hard to believe that at no point has this been mentioned to Lampard.

If your plan was get Robins out and Lampard in and you had a pre-existing relationship with Lampard it would be mental not to have sounded him out.

If it was a pre agreed done deal it would have happened bY the end of last week and he would have had this week to work with the players.

I don;’t think we have any evidence that Harry and Doug are mates.

Managed about 30 seconds of that. Clickbait sh*te.
They make some valid points to be fair and Lampard doesnt fill me with enthusiasm or a lot of fans either. Time will tell if we do have him but it feels like we are on the edge of a cliff at the moment hoping Doug plays the right deck

Not sure how true as my info only third-hand, but been 'fairly reliably' informed that this was all signed and sealed last week. If that were true, a) why hasn't it been announced? and b) surely that's a week he could have spent with the players getting his message and methods across.

It will only add fuel to the conspiracy theorists, but unless it's taking longer to sort back-room staff, whether that be Cole on International duty or removing some of the current crop, then I can't think of any valid reason.

I have a feeling it will be announced on Friday so he can simply say 'I've met the players after training and I'll be in the stands tomorrow but will leave Rhys in charge for Sheff U'. Stinks of an early excuse that he doesnt lose a game but if we win will claim some input.

Well, yeah, but if the new man is in charge today and we lose, no-one is going to blame him are they?

I think it will be today. King of shaves posted cryptic stuff on twitter last night and with the match coming up it makes sense to either be announced today or early next week.

Just my pure guess though
