Not sure how true as my info only third-hand, but been 'fairly reliably' informed that this was all signed and sealed last week. If that were true, a) why hasn't it been announced? and b) surely that's a week he could have spent with the players getting his message and methods across.

It will only add fuel to the conspiracy theorists, but unless it's taking longer to sort back-room staff, whether that be Cole on International duty or removing some of the current crop, then I can't think of any valid reason.

I have a feeling it will be announced on Friday so he can simply say 'I've met the players after training and I'll be in the stands tomorrow but will leave Rhys in charge for Sheff U'. Stinks of an early excuse that he doesnt lose a game but if we win will claim some input.

Your whole worry is based of 3rd hand info. Relax, what will be will be.

Bit much for a Thursday morning.

Yeah it could be that Lampard is agreed but it's all of the other people that need to be sorted too. Coaches etc.

It is annoying as we have had an international break where the new person could have been working with the players.

So Lampard confirmed today, wins against Sheffield United and Burnley, destroy Cardiff 5-0, riding high on the wave of positivity, and then we lose 10 in a row.

Well, yeah, but if the new man is in charge today and we lose, no-one is going to blame him are they?
Probably not, but lose that, most likely lose away at Burnley and then the pressure is already mounting at Cardiff. If we were to go a goal down early, then it would quickly become pretty toxic I think. We need him to hit the ground running, especially after how his last two jobs ended and all of the stats that will be flying around. Whether he is the right appointment or not, I dont think he'll get much time as he'll have zero credit in the bank to most.

Disagree.

This will be a Robins team won't it and Robins seemingly failed, so I don't think anything will land at the new manager's feet.

Not just yet.

Unless we play absolutely dreadfully of course.
But surely this team was assembled by King and Austin, and Robins had no say. I'm sure I read that somewhere

No point having him in the dugout with basically no time on the training pitch in a tough game.
Well he certainly shouldn't be picking the team after only a couple of days training but he might see the game as an outsider with no predetermined bias and realise what's going wrong

Me included. I don't want him. Still a sh*t video.

I thought they made some good points tbh. Lampard hasn’t achieved much, has arguably under achieved at his “good” jobs, relied on having better players rather than any tactical ability and the advantage of loans he had at Derby will be lessened from his time out since.

People are desperate to put a good spin on it and keep calm and carry on, but objectively he is a dreadful appointment and one that was a joke among fans when Robins first went to show how clueless we could be.
