Don’t think so. Assumed we would have heard about an approach considering that Blackburn transfers seem to get leaked.

Plus if any employed manager was to come in…

I’ve got no problem with Eustace

He took Kidderminster to the non league play offs twice, as well as the first round of the FA Cup, vastly improved Birmingham and got sacked when they were in the top six, and has made Blackburn a far better team who currently just sit outside the play offs.

I dont think it will be him though.

In his full season at Birmingham they finished 17th , the following season granted they were 6th after 11 games , 3 points above us who had a bad start before he was sacked .. I think john is a step backwards from what we've just had

Evatt through and through.

But on Birmingham keep in mind that was there highest points total in years and then to get them sixith considering they were relegated is an achievement.

Maybe I’m being harsh to Eustace, Will have a mission statement here as part of the relegated squad. Has played attacking football and seemingly improves teams year on year.

Decent young coach. Not who I want but could do worse.

Doesn't mean alot really , his Blackburn side looked poor at the CBS and the championship always throws up some curveballs .. they will fall they've lost 5 of their last 8
Although if they finish mid table still an improvement based on where they were.

Not often managers leave teams better than they found them

I mean sure but it was a different job over the couple of years and when he got the job at Blackburn there were 18th with five points of the bottom without a win in 5.

If he leaves them tomorrow for us, he leaves them in 9th
He took over when they were 18th and they finished 19th

I just don't think the appointment would be in any way shape or form good enough and it's a step backwards

I mean it’s hard not to argue a step backwards regardless and I had falling outs with Robins at the end.

Don’t think it’s that bad and would be interesting to see him having backing as he did well when they had some before they got rid for Wayne.

Plus outside of many candidates, he has experience with the championship, plays decent football (another manager with a non league Barca 🤣) and has a connection and reason to stay at the club.

Again you know who I want but think it’s better than some of the names I’ve seen

Strange how people try and judge managers by quoting league positions when the difference between (say) 6th and (say) 18th in a league as competitive as the Championship can be just a few results over a 46 game season.
There are so many other factors to take into account, beyond the control of any manager.

I don’t think so. I’ve got a friend who works at Blackburn (also used to work at Cov). He hasn’t mentioned anything, and he knew about Fadz moving on very early

Yes plus finishing 18th with one club may be a better achievement than finishing 6th with another club.

I'd be pretty happy with Eustace I think.

I quite like Eustace and wouldn't be against him being appointed if he was out of work and cheap, but if we're going to pay a manager release clause, then you'd think of someone top notch which he isnt, and with a decent budget to spend that I doubt we have.

Yet another manager who wouldn’t be anywhere close to being on our radar were it not for him being a former player.

The lack of imagination people have for these hires is baffling sometimes.
