Best game so far. But he has looked poor on both flanks for us. I don't get this he has been played out of position when he played on both flanks for Peterborough. Also how can a naturally right footed player be out of position on the right.

He just needs time to step up to this level.
When he played for Peterborough on the right, he was poor. Their chairman spoke about it on a podcast the other day.

He likes to cut in, so his game is on the left. Evidently clear that is

OHare was as crap today as he was for us in his final 10+ games here - he has always thought he was better than he actually is!
Championship is just about his level IMO however Hamer belongs in the Prem.

Hamer 5 - not the dominating player he used to be
O'Hare 2 - Just ambles about the pitch. Except on odd occasions like Leicester last season, not the same since his injury
Hamer played some lovely passes, but didn't really get hold of the game, and O'hare was largely Ineffective.

Collins 6

Could have made himself bigger for their second, other than that ok.

Lati 7

Getting better at imposing himself. Need him to be a bit more “in their grill”.

Thomas 8

Plus one for goal.

Binks 6

Got caught wrong side again for one of their goals.

Van Ewijk 7

Up and down that wing well and good last man cover to stop potential breakaways from set pieces.

Dasilva 7

Busy, but needs to put that ball in quicker.

Sheaf 7

Someone needs to remind him that he has the ability to place a ball that few possess. Shoot more man - pass backwards less when near their D

Eccles 7

In amongst it. A few great long balls.

Torp 7

Unlucky not to secure with the header - got involved well

Rudoni 7

Not too shabby.

Psycho Hound 9

Has a touch of the Craig Bellamys about him. We need to let him have a bit of a free role.

subs

Timely.

Saka 7
Mason-Clarke 5
Simms 6
Thomas Asante 7
Bidwell 6

EMC 5? - was unplayable (at least for their right back)

Bidders 6? - gave the ball away 50% of the times he received it.

You rated Sakamoto the same as Simms and Asante Thomas?

To be fair, and I never get involved in ratings threads. I see a rating purely as an individual rating, bearing no relation to any other players performance.

Not sure what others think. I would start with a base of 5 as well and anything above is a half decent game. Basically why I don’t get involved. It’s a load of nonsense really.

Let's be honest for some on here - it's a weekly chance for some of the usual suspects to put the boot into players they have a bias against.

Balance doesn't come into it - I swear some on here want certain players to fail to be seen as right in their 'internet view.'

He assisted the second goal and his through-ball to set up (player name here) to assist the first was excellent.

Personally, furore aside about clapping him, it was a monumental fuck up to not give Gus what he was asking for and tie him down to another contract. Not only do we miss his presence and quality (as I’m sure you’ll agree) but we just simply haven’t replaced him.

Not sure if this is unpopular, but if we ever had the chance to have him back, I’d be over the moon.

O’Hare can jog on, however.

Hamer is the one midfield player we've really struggled to replace, I can't blame him for moving on, but im sure he's better than Sheff utd and should still be in the Premier league.

I'd love to see him back here, but I cant see it ever happening.

O'hare was great for us, but I can't honestly say we've missed him, certainly not when you compare him to Gyokeres and Hamer who've we've really struggled to replace.

I thought Sheaf ran the game today. Like others said, nobody had a bad game and I thiught Dasilva was half decent. He Certainly pushed forwards most of the game.

I agree. I thought Dasilva was good today. Attacking options down the left were much poorer once Bidwell came on.

More rambling nonsense

Bidwell was bad when he came on but he did only come on in the 88th minute and the keeper wasted at least half of the 6 mins added time. The ball was probably only in play for about 4 minutes whilst he was on the pitch.

Horribly wrong.

Da Silva was a liability throughout and I heaved a sigh of relief when Bidwell came on. The second goal was totally down to Da Silva's failure to clear the ball . The first goal I did not have a clear view of but was also on his side of the pitch.

Da Silva's asset is his fantastic footwork and ability to hold the ball under pressure, but he never tries to use it to get to the line so is very predictable for defenders. He's actually a bit of a show pony who in reality offers little attacking threat.

EMC on the other hand, for the first time, frightened the pants off their right back, got to the line and fired in good balls. That he is such a big bastard helps....

Yep. The siilest thing is the way the result influences the individual ratings. If Thomas had hit the post instead of scoring the equaliser, every single player's rating would have dropped by a couple of points, without there being any difference in their performance.

Not a Coventry player but I can't remember seeing a player have a worse half than Sheff Utd's number 38 Seriki who came on at half time. His 1st couple of involvements he looked more like a WWF wrestler than a footballer, he did very little else except get shouted at by the number 42 and to top it off in added on time he went to clear the ball, kicked it with his standing foot and fell over. He looked liked he was a competition winner 🤣
