I thought it was pathetic of our fans.

He is a young guy being badly advised.

You could argue that COH never pretended he was staying and Gus absolutely did and then jumped at the only offer that came his way.

I didn’t boo either of them.
People forget this - Gus led us down the path. Indicating he wanted to stay etc.

COH never said anything other that you would expect - yet is the bad guy.

kinds sums up society now, people just want to be cool having hard left or right opinion.

Both players played huge part for us.

As for applauding hamer whilst taking an attacking corner - ffs 🤦🏻‍♂️

Did Hamer actually publicly say he wanted to stay, or was it certain ITKs who said that?

Let's be honest, the real reason most people are pissed off with him is because he went to Sheffield United, a club that aren't very likeable, and who many saw as being a sideways step (which it wasn't, really).

When Hamer went there he went for Premier League football, which people didn't begrudge. Ironically, I don't think it's been a good move for him. Playing for one of the worst top-flight teams ever may have hindered more than helped. He shouldn't be in the Championship now, anyway.

ETA: also I genuinely think O'Hare did want to stay, we just didn't offer what he felt he was worth.

OHare owed us another year after we nursed him off the pitch for a year IMO - but he ran his contract down and left for free!
This is what pissed me off.
As for Hamer he left in contract and earned us £15million - that’s the difference between the two when it comes to moving clubs.

And went to the league above. O'Hare pissed around all summeer, didnt get a higher league offer, joined a team in the same division then started moaning about not being played when he wouldnt sign a new contract. Hamer was honest from the outset.

Also like the fact that Hamer came back to the CBS to watch us play countless times after he moved on!

Hamer said he was staying then spread bullshit he wanted to go back to the Netherlands to be near his son, he assumed he’d get a premier league offer. He got nothing other than Sheffield and took it.

He was utter garbage yesterday!

Not missing out on much with O’hare, too inconsistent. When he’s on it he has all the attributes and ability to be a good player but easily goes into hiding.
Hamer however what a player, looked a bit chunky though. Chip butties must be more calorific than beer and kebabs
I think the last thing O’Hare ever did was hide. Even when he was playing poorly he always wanted the ball, and tried to make things happen. He was a good player for us.

But isn’t there something in O’Hare not feeling wanted? He was on the bench quite a lot towards the end of the season. I think we miss him and his style of play, sad for us and for him that it didn’t work out here.

Hamer wouldn't have been cheered had OHare not played. It was to make a point really that O' Hare is a chavvy twat. Which we all knew.

I can vouch he was telling a lot of people privately he wanted to stay and just wanted certain bits contract wise. He led us on all summer, wouldn’t have been clubs choice to sell so late on if they knew he was leaving.

Anyone on here who would not leave a job for 3 times what your present employer is paying is either stupid or a liar. The kid looked genuinely sad yesterday when he was taken off to the reaction of the fans. He looks lost in that side, Hamer is the pivot to release their attackers so he's often side stepped. Felt sorry for the kid but Eccles had him in his pocket.

We missed COh yesterday - we didn’t have the magic to unlock them.

Very similar to Leicester game - but we had him to unlock the door.

Again some of the flak he’s getting is so unjust. Yes there were some bits behind closed doors with him last season after Plymouth game - but he gave us good service and a very good player. Wish him well.
magic? o'hare? suspect end product was his main issue

Was it leading us on if he wasn‘t offered the certain bits contract wise that he wanted?

What happened after the Plymouth game?

Didnt boo him... but dont overly care about those that did.

Just glad that the Sheffield United coaches haven't managed to teach him end product either!

Will always respect and appreciate how he helped drag us up the devisions, always gave his all too. The people that booed him are ridiculous and have short memories
I didnt boo him, but also recall how he wound his contract down, and other than the Sheff United and Wolves game jumped out of every tackle.
