That's it

And Doug isn't averse to it

But how does that then leave what's in place? Carr doesn't deserve to be kicked does he?

Would he fit in amongst Cole and Morris for example?

Would Dempster be back with youth or gotten rid of?

That's the hold ups evidently
Understandably so

be interesting how it plays out, with Carr and boateng especially

Do think it is a case of when and not if

Football Insider come in for a lot of stick and rightly so but for their top journo to come out and say pen has been put to paper on the deal and it is all done, when there is a chance it isn't is a hell of a ballsy move and would massively dash their credibility if it turned out not to happen

Dunno why the club aren't just announcing it tho, even if they did it today to announce to takeover for Cardiff
Probably not to distract from tomorrow’s game.

Not a surprise and such stuff takes time and indeed money to sort , a number of settlements will need to be made before salaries agreed with the new staff. It appears we are in safe hands short term whilst it gets resolved , so resolve it properly and in the time it takes rather than rush and make mistakes

I still think it will be done, and this will be ironed out, as i say it seems to be just Ascertaining who's going to stay and who can be reassigned / let go off the current setup and what that cost will be

Rhys Carr made it clear to Doug that he didn't want to be considered for the role btw but would like to stay at the club

If hypothetically the issues aren't ironed out and talks break down, is there anyone in consideration as back up. Or would it be back to the drawing board?

I hope we are not spending more then we have to signing up a bunch of ‘faces ‘ . The media might wank over it but it’s pointless if we overspend on chiefs and then say we can’t afford anymore Indians 🤷‍♂️

Carr and Boateng stay, Dempster and Delaney go back to youth team and Lampard brings two new coaching staff with him.
Doesn't seem like rocket science

Big cost thinking on it. If we keep Rhys you’ve got Frank Lampard, Jodi Morris,Ashley Cole, Rhys Carr.

Leaving George Boatang and the other two coaches. Not to mention that we are paying off Mark and Adi.

This is an expensive pick. But if there’s a will there’s a way. Do personally want Frank to have all three as that’s the best chance he’ll have here

I did wonder from the very beginning of this whether it would come down to whether or not DK is willing to reach into his pockets w/r/t the coaching staff and anyone the new manager wanted to bring in. Two things always seemed obvious to me:

1. Anyone with anywhere near the kind of prestige we would want to replace Robins is going to want to bring their own people in, absolutely no way they would just blindly agree to work with the people already here.

2. DK is most likely going to be very reluctant to pay additional wages plus whatever compensation any of the coaches who are let go would be entitled to.

I concur with @SkyBlue_Bear83 that the way forward seems obvious on the surface but this would carry with it the assumption that Lampard, or indeed anyone, would want to work with Carr and Boateng.

Hopefully this gets resolved soon... Pretty bored of the not knowing and just want to move on!

From King’s past comments it seems he isn’t keen on a ‘flat’ coaching structure so assume there will be some kind of hierarchy.
Yes I'm pretty sure he said that's what he asked Robins to implement, and Robins had to go because he didn't do it. So if there was supposed to be someone between Robins and the other coaches, it's only natural that the same would apply under the new boss. Maybe it's just a question of numbers - King wants Lampard to bring in one, but Franks wants to bring in two?
