Imo, teams easily play through our midfield and I don’t think either Eccles or Sheaf are bad midfielders defensively. Which therefore, suggests something fundamentally defective with our tactical instructions/approach.

Their first goal we gave the ball away really cheaply (I think it was Binks) and then just seemed so vulnerable to a change of pace from Burnley. There seems to be a real lack of organisation as to who does what when the ball is turned over.

If teams set up negatively they often struggle when required to go up the gears

Maybe I’m missing the point slightly, but I thought that was one of our strengths under robins. We usually started poor and grew into games, which is why we saw so many last minute equalisers and winners under him

I mean sure we can set up to win matches and start slow and grow into them.

But I'm more talking specifically about the games where you can see the team are sitting in they always struggle to find a way to get up the gears after a team has got ontop
