Not excusing him, but the fact he was playing down the left at the start was ridiculous….Yes, it was the right back and he ran past Saka

Kitching should start every game. He’s our toughest CB. Thought he played well at Sunderland but then loses his placeNot sure there was a player from either side who deserved more than a 7, it was a dour game.
The defensive positions are wrong and if I was Kitching I would be frustrated if i didn't start next game given the current backline has shipped 8 goals in 4 games.
It DeSilva that points at Tats to go to the man on the ball. Sakamoto doesn’t point at anyone.Wasn’t Sakamoto at fault here? He was with the runner and then left him to go to the player with the ball. He pointed to da Silva to pick up the runner, but it was too late. Sakamoto should have stayed with the runner leaving da Silva to face up the player with the ball. That’s how I saw it.
Not a huge Bassett fan (yet) but he did about as much as he could with very little to no supportSheaf was our best player. Van Ewijk ok too. Both maybe 6/7.
Others were 5 at best with Eccles being worse than that.
Eccles is too busy collecting yellow cards for moaning instead of clearing the ball and tacklingWhy can’t any of our midfield tackle, all they do is run alongside players and never put a foot in.
Whoever pointed or shouted, JDS reacted too slow. carbon copy of SaturdayIt DeSilva that points at Tats to go to the man on the ball. Sakamoto doesn’t point at anyone.
