Everton have burned through a lot of good managers ….. Marco Silva, Martinez, Benitez, Koemen, etc etc ….. maybe the problem isn’t the manager ????
Missed Ancelotti from this list!!

Not sure where @AFCCOVENTRY got the Shay Given rumour from but I don’t think he’s coached at all since 2020.

He wasn’t part of Lampards back room team at Chelsea or Everton.

Doesn’t mean it’s not true but 🤷🏽‍♂️
I find it baffling that anyone would get excited about Shay Given joining us as a coach

Well Given coached at Derby under Lamprd

Given would be immensely better than the clown Williams given that he’s actually played at a top level too.

Still will pitch Dave solely because he’s really good on football manager and will save me the fees to sack the keeper coach in game 🤣

Nor getting excited but what's wrong with an ex top GK passing on tips and his experience? Could help bring out the best of Dovin. He is just another piece of the jigsaw. Bit yes personally our coaching setup has got much better.

I will only get excited when we play attacking football but stop giving away soft goals. If we can manage that the sky is the limit.

There’s nothing to suggest that Given is a better GK coach than what we have. Pointing to his reputation as a player is meaningless. And probably how he ended up as assistant to Wayne Rooney at Derby.

There's nothing to suggest Given isn't a better GK coach.

What we do have is 3 GK's where none of them are good enough to make the position their own. No improvement on any of them. So should we keep to the same yet expect things to improve? The exact reason we got rid of Robins.

Williams was here when Wilson kept all those clean sheets in , I'd put the blame on other reasons for the number of goals we're conceding.

I've come to the opinion Wilson is worth giving another year to because he is decent enough and is has a good character but Collins should be moved on (and replaced at the end of the season unless Bell is judged good enough to be 3rd choice).

I am fucking bored of the nauseating Lampard social media, PR posts.

For an owner/exec they must realise that people are rightly concerned that he is a PR hire, so why feed into that narrative with the incessant Frank front and centre posts?

I want my manager to tackle our defensive vulnerability, install some confidence and outline training plans in his first few days. Not be at the centre of every fucking photo.

If you do some years service and get us promoted back to the prem, then you can feature this prominently.

I'd much prefer Lampard to be the public face of the club than King.
Think all the media/social media stuff is over the top myself but there's no way Lampard will let that interfere with the task in hand.

I'm sure that the PR stuff comes second. Let's just judge by what happens on the pitch.

Ultimately the club is doing best when the players are the stars. Hopefully Lampard will find a way to make that happen.

Lol good one

Maybe not clown but you chatted so much shit about him and now you are trying to sweep it under the carpet. Your not the only one. I just find it weird
Ok so you can’t and you’re making up lies. £100 to MIND please.

How am I starting to sweep it under the carpet: I’ve said that I don’t think Lampard is the right choice, I would rather have kept Robins but I think Lampard has spoken well since getting here.

If I’m wrong and Lampard is a huge success I’ll own it, unlike you who if they are wrong makes excuses and says it’s their cousin on their account.

Find where I called him a clown and I’ll donate £100 to a charity of your choice

The amount of posters trying to put words into other posters mouth or totally misinterpreting posts,(I suspect deliberately I some cases), is off the scale.

I put a similar challenge out to a posters and surprise, surprise, they didn't respond

I'll chat shit non stop about someone but it's ok if I own it

Hmmmm

Think in reality some people now realise they were childish and emotional a few weeks ago and are now settling down to be normal like the rest of us

Next time listen to me from the get go

I know. It’s ridiculous.

I don’t know why opinions on the whole situation have to be so black and white.

it’s possible to want robins to stay, not like the lampard appointment but still support him and be impressed by his first impression.

Agree. I was accused by another poster of being part of an anti-Robins out brigade, despite saying few weeks ago that’d id give him to the end of the season. This poster had actually said themselves that they wanted Robins out after the Derby defeat.

Your getting too defensive . I'm not attacking you. I'm just saying you have completely switched views on lampard in just one week.

I haven’t switched views. I still think it’s a bad appointment and would rather have kept robins. Although I’m intrigued to see how it all plays out.

I actually posted about 3 days after the Robins sacking that I understood the decision, have came round to the Lampard appointment but still have people jumping all over me because I criticise King and question Lampards previous managerial record.
You've got to drink the kool aid and lose any objectivity to satisfy some posters

I totally get why he’s done it, I get why he’s appointed Lampard.

Some cant see it through rationality though, they just see the Lampard appointment almost like an infatuation of a new crush on a girl.

I think that's not far from where everyone is at

I can't say he will definitely be a success but everyone is intrigued and I think there is a lot of potential for it to work. I can understand people being worried.

I'm just saying complete and utter disaster comments to looking forward to lampard getting us going etc is a radical change.
