The goal for the season was to challenge for the playoffs and we finished nine points short - it was obviously a failureWithout my dad I wouldn't be born
9th and a cup semi final is a successful season
The cup run was great fun, but it was a literal sideshow and highly unlikely to be repeated given how favourable the draw was

I think if you’re a club with realistic promotion chances there are probably managers with better CVs at that level you’d go to before Robins.

I think that would be a better career move for him. Hull seem to operate quite erratically.
We had nothing to play for because we’d had a crap start to the season.
King may have wanted a cup run (who doesn’t?) but no-one was under any illusions that the league performance would decide whether Robins stayed in the job. Hence why we had a nice cup run and then sacked Robins a few months later regardless.
