Last season was a failure. Not getting into SBT personality argument talk. But it was a failure. Big day out in the cup and bottling getting into the playoffs is a failure.
I called it BEFORE at the time, but the amount of reasons and excuses being slung about is mental. Fuck the cup. The season was a failure.

My contention is that having a much wider pool of players from which to choose signings was a problem for him in the way that trying to make a squad from say £1-2 million wasn’t.

Impossible to say what would have happened. I'd say the cup run cost us a shot at the playoffs. The players went full self preservation mode in that Brum game pre Semi. That and the mental fall out of how we lost the cup took a toll. Maybe if we'd not got the comeback win at wolves we'd have focused on the league more. Impossible to say.

We'd lost 2 of the best players in the division, we'd also lost alot of experience and we practically rebuilt and finished 9th and got to the fa cup semi final .. there is no failure there

Was a weird season all round. Some of the greatest moments in my time watching CCFC paired with some of the worst performances of the Robins era. Least we’ve kept half of that legacy going into this season.

Ok away from me and you giving it 10 licks , it wasn't a failure as financially we benefitted massively from the cup run and genuinley unlucky not to make the final , the league we literally had a slow start a fantastic 25 game period between october and April and fell away at the end .. the squad was rebuilt off the back of losing what we now know is a world class striker and a top midfielder .
Personally felt it was a succesful season we remained competitive throughout until the end
6 points worse off than the playoff season but had a big rebuild on
