If you put any faith in post shot expected goals then he's costing us a goal a game with his chocolate wrists.
The problem with xG is, it doesn't take into account the quality of the strike, the Sheffield United second for example is in off the post, no keeper is getting it, the second goal against Cardiff is a fantastic strike curving away from the keeper right into the side netting, which no keeper is getting, ree header against Cardiff for the first no real chance, great cross and striker centre of the goal 8 yards out for Sheffield United first, and the second against Burnley was a freak of a cross.

He shouldn't be in the team, we spent a lot of money on Dovin and he's our best keeper.

If anyone has a spare ticket I’m unexpectedly in London tomorrow and will gladly take it off your hands.
Message me. I know of a chap who still has the spare adult ticket for tommorow, I can put you in contact with him.

Fitness and consistency being a key theme of the prematch from Frank. Think he’s got it spot on after the end of last match. Hopefully see a better performance

Did he not say I'm working hard on the work as work towards the weekend work when we're going to have to work really hard?

Still, makes a change from Robins say Brilliant I suppose.

xG doesn't you are correct, which is why it's useless for measuring a keeper's performance. But post shot expected goals does measure the quality of the shot and that's what shows Collins to be massively underperforming (worst in the division in fact).

Was more commenting on him just saying he identified fitness as an issue, with a lack of second balls and they’ve done fitness work to start building this up.

Seems to match one issue people have had with the squad from the start of the season. Hopefully this work continues

Homeboy was throwing it in his own goal last season.

Tbf if that's true, it's not what Doug told us. I've been defending Dr Roberts when people were dismissive of her role, but one of the things Doug specifically mentioned in his Q&A was that she was responsible in her Performance role for fitness and that as a result the players were 'fitter than they've ever been before'. Either he was lying or being lied to.

Sounds like we might possibly see Rapahel soon...

For those young players we need some training with us, and I want to see them training with us and we have three games in a week, so he [Raphael] will be with us and whether he gets minutes we will see.

Is four games a big enough sample size to declare a keeper as the worst in the league?

Lampard saying in the clip from the press conference that they've done some work on the players' sharpness.

Glad he's picked that up, we've not picked up second balls well at all or have looked sluggish closing down, Cardiff's second goal being the prime example.
Pretty alarming that. Something you expect in the first few games perhaps but not now.

No it's not, but I didn't say he is.

He has the worst PSxG-GA per 90 in the league, that's not an opinion it's a fact.

Is it a statistically relevant fact after four games? That’s my question.

I think it’s as much a fitness/sharpness thing as a mentality, desire and leadership thing as well.

It’s still staggering to me we did not replace the experience we lost in the summer with at least 1 or 2 similar characters

Is this sold out ???

Are the levels so bad he needs to specifcally work on them?? Don't forget this was a team whose hallmark was goals in 90+ mins!!
WTF has happened to us since then???
