Who on earth said that, misguided fool. We all know better on here."The squad is strong, has been well put together and has a nice balance to it."

Maybe we'd be better off employing somebody who can give the club their time and effort ?she’s going to be very busy

Be careful mate, the white-knights will be after you in a minute.
So many fans confuse lack of effort with the above.I don't think there is a lack of effort. There is a lack of confidence, some poor decisions, some poor organisation.
a lot of talk about fitness levels, just came up on sky that were top of goals scored in the 76-90 min…. 11 scored, and I don’t think we concede many late goals ?
Fuck them , she's been here for a year this month and this is her job role
"She brings a wealth of experience in high-performance sport to Coventry City and will ensure the highest standards in all aspects of performance and preparation for elite football are delivered sustainably across the whole Club.
Dr Roberts will work in unison with the senior football management team and report to the Executive Chairman."
How do our fans think she's doing ?
All the 60 minute subs probably help with that.a lot of talk about fitness levels, just came up on sky that were top of goals scored in the 76-90 min…. 11 scored, and I don’t think we concede many late goals ?
There seems to be an assumption that she is being criticised because she is a woman and that the critics are misogynists. Her defenders saying she has nothing to do with performance on the pitch. I’m sorry, but fitness and mental resilience do affect playing performance.I think it's perfectly reasonable to asky questions of her and her role. It seems to trigger a lot of people though. Not sure if that's because some people have taken it too far in the past or what. Maybe, like I say, some are just white-knighting.
The IPad can be saying one thing about personal performances or whatever, but frankly I'm constantly seeing poor levels of performance, energy, and things like concentration. The league table also doesn't seem to argue with that.
No, it isn't all her fault. No, she isn't a terribly bad person I'm sure. However, if you are employing someone in a directors position on what will no doubt be a very handsome salary, then I think it's very fair at the moment to question what she is bringing to the table. She isn't the only one of course.
There is only one chart that matters and at the moment we are 16th in that one.We are doing well in many charts but nobody gives a shit about those .
You missed out Milan going from a £15mil player to Sunday league player. Our problems have nothing to do with a lack of fitness, it's piss poor recruitment that's been our issue, along with poor form from certain players.
Dasilva is a liability that every other team in the league has sussed out. Binks is a ball playing centre half who just can't defend.
Kitchen cost £4million but is being kept out of the side by a clown. We have 3, third choice keepers, none of which is good enough.
Sheaf's form hasn't returned since getting injured, Sakamoto looks lost, EMC has hardly impressed despite costing £4.5 million, and Simms looks like he couldn't give a fuck.
We don't know Rudoni's best position, and we really miss Wright.
Other than that we look fine
That might be partly down to not having adequate cover, Milan is a good player, but he has to play every minute, we have no other option at RWB, and since Sakamoto has lost his form, he has no outlet. You missed out Milan going from a £15mil player to Sunday league player.
Given that Doug King is currently listed as a director on eight different boards (not including Coventry Ciddy), I’m guessing he’ll be ok with itWonder how the club feel about her having additional responsibilities over and above what she’s doing with us, unless she’s leaving?

So why did Frank make any comment about fitness and having to do some extra work on that, then. It’s not pre-season ffs.Our problems have nothing to do with a lack of fitness, it's piss poor recruitment that's been our issue, along with poor form from certain players.

My point was that our performances (or lack of) has very little to do with fitness levels. So why did Frank make any comment about fitness and having to do some extra work on that, then. It’s not pre-season ffs.
I agree with your comments about recruitment and form, but in many games they have hardly looked high energy from kick off. I’m sure Robins commented on it, along with their psychological fragility.
If there weren’t some concerns about performance levels, this thread wouldn’t have been created and contributed to.
You see, it’s people defending the PD that refer to her as female, it me. This is an area where gender / sex makes no difference to the ability to do this job. Some of us just don’t see the role as having made any discernible difference. My point was that our performances (or lack of) has very little to do with fitness levels.
Players like Dasilva and Binks arnt going to be better defenders just because they get a bit fitter. Against Cardiff (for example) we conceded a sloppy goal after 4 minutes!
How can that be down to fitness????
It's down to piss poor defending, nothing else. And how many goals have we let in when a keeper could of done better?
There's clearly an underlying agenda on here against our female "performance coach"
but it's not down to her, all she's doing is desperately trying to polish turds!

Yeah I also think we're trying to play a type of football that doesn't play into our strengths. We are always at our best when we are playing quick incisive counter attacking football.I don't think there is a lack of effort. There is a lack of confidence, some poor decisions, some poor organisation.
Didn't he say 'sharpness'? Sharpness and fitness as slightly different. You can be fit and run all day have great base fitness and strength and conditioning numbers, but if you tempo of play and decision making isn't quick enough, then your not sharp. It may be the intensity in training hasn't been high enough, and that's been translating onto the pitch, moving the ball slowly, slow to react, etc.The reason this has raised its head again is because in his press conference the manager has contradicted what was previously said by the owner regarding fitness. It's nothing to do with an agenda.

Should perhaps organise a poll.Fuck them , she's been here for a year this month and this is her job role

Maybe that's why she's secured additional employment as she can't guarantee her future here after the absolute failure she's overseen
“We’ve done some good work and some physical work. An assessment of mine after the game last week, this league is ruthless in terms of that how you should be at peak fitness and sharpness and competitive to the second ball, so there’s been an element of that to our work.”Didn't he say 'sharpness'?
