I was probably a bit harsh in my responses but everytime any questions are put to our recruitment, the usuals round up and take it personally or tell you to shut up… on a forum.

I hope EMC, Kitching etc come good… but for me it’s staggering at how much money has been spent on players that are 25 years old and don’t look ready for the Championship. I hope I’m wrong long term but in the short term I think they’re money badly spent.

EMC had a decent game yesterday but two decent games by December isn’t good enough IMO but that seems to cause big personal offence.

Since the summer the direction of the club has pissed me off and the treatment of Robins was staggeringly bad.

I don’t rate our owner, (I think he’s a massive **** in fact), recruitment, coaches and I like Lampard but I never wanted him over Robins, so I guess I always will be negative in some eyes.

I apologise, I shouldn’t have been so creative in my replies and just left it at fuck off.

You should stop coming out with the personal stuff after a few beers, and don’t blame anyone else. Accusing people who want to stick up for EMC of being child abusers is being a wanker- own it and don’t make excuses.

Funny thing about yesterday was the ‘goalkeepers get way too much protection’ thing being ignored…

Yeah all fair enough. Kitching is looking a very poor buy. Think EMC is coming and will come good under Lampard. I like how he’s always attacking that back post.

All this stuff about Kitching being a waste of money is over-reaching at this point, in my opinion. He had a really good spell last season and has been in and out of a poorly performing team this season. I think he’ll get a chance under Lampard, as others are. It looks like he’s keen to see everyone on the pitch (he even brought Tav on briefly yesterday). The other thing everyone seems to be forgetting is that we will inevitably get injuries as the season goes on and we will need the squad, hopefully it will be successful after the failure last season when we were down to the bare bones. I am confident Kitching will play and play well at some point soon.

EMC needs a consistent run in the side. He's only going to learn to adapt to the Championship by playing consistently and he hasn't had that opportunity in his favoured position with Wright being ahead of him.

Kitching was a horrendous buy. Poor attitude and not good enough.

We’ve come from a few years of not buying anyone. Loans etc. The reality is £4-5m is a tiny transfer fee nowadays. It’s the equivalent of say 200-300k when you look back to the late 80’s. We were taking punts on the likes of Kevan Smith, Peter Billing etc. for that sort of fee.

He does look better (on the basis of two games) on the left but with Wright having that position nailed down, how do you accommodate EMC?

Agree fully on Kitching.

When Haji gets back from injury, he’ll play upfront imo. So an axis of Sakamoto-Wright-EMC which to me has great balance.

Longer term, I still believe EMC will be ahead of Sakamoto on the right with Simms upfront.

Why wouldn’t we play Wright in his best position on the left
Spot on, we need to stick to playing players where they should be playing, although think wright came here thinking he‘d be first choice no9 so long as he’s happy playing on the left then stick with him, him and simms were starting to play well together

Really enjoyed the game. Only worrying moment all through the game was their disallowed goal. But it was clear when the ref blew when I saw Collins on the floor. Had control of the 1st half without doing any damage. Was happy at HT. Playing away at The Den and keeping their support quiet tells a story. They had been on a long unbeaten run with the playoffs in sight.

Second half. Wow. Some players put in big performances. I can see EMC becoming a big fans favourite. A beast with talent. Can't wait for him on the left and Wright through the middle. And with game time together goals will become child's play. Latti. Best game for a long time. If he was a new big money signing you would have said money well spent. Saka was a delight to watch. Laughed a couple of times with how poor he was making their players look.

Welcome back Captain Sheaf. Taken time to come back from injury but was always going to be behind being against fresh players hitting peak fitness. Can't say anyone had a bad game.

My doubts about Lampard are gone already. The right person at the right time. We went from a side letting goals in every game to making us more like the home side. We were unlucky in front of goal. Subs played perfectly. And Lampard seems at home already. It can be difficult for a player from a top club in most of their career to go to a nobody. I can see him being with us for a long time until a big club comes along. If we can keep this going we will soon be in the top 6. Only the top 3 sides have been consistent.
Have you come back from France?

Think we thought he’d come straight in doing what he did for Peterborough, big step up for him, there’s def a decent player there, just can’t see him keeping wright out
So many games a season. Rotation will be needed. And wright may get tried as a central striker too before lampard makes any decisions

sheaf is just a poor player i think. He doesn’t have one attribute that stands out as better than others. Poor passing, poor positioning, can’t shoot, hates a tackle, takes the easy option every time

How is the fentanyl crisis in the US?

Yeah if lampard gets him consistently using his strength and trickery he could become massive part of the gameplan
He’s got potential but I don’t think he’s shown that much strength or trickery yet. Delighted that he’s scored two in two but he’s got a long way to go to be as effective as Wright.
