Unless Wright is eyed to return down the centre, I can’t see it to be honest.

Wright is much better on the left than down the middle.

Not sure why FL would look to play him in a position he's previously looked very uncomfortable in just so we can bring in yet another left sided player.

Surely budget and resources would be far better spent trying to improve the real problem area at the other end of the pitch?

Thought he did well down the centre albeit with simms against Luton. Feel we could look at this as a way to get Mason in the squad with wright.

Agree on budget tho, just thought to post as saw us mentioned

Wright may look better with a different style of play down the middle. Under Robins it rarely worked but it doesn't mean it can't. He is a striker after all. That's where he has played his career

I wouldn't read too much into it. They've clearly picked 5 potential suitors out of the league at random as it's been heavily indicated that Barry will be loaned to a Championship team in Jan.

Disgracefully if one of those came off they'll undoubtedly take credit.

Playing in leagues where he gets much more time on the ball and allows for more space, just to caveat that point.

It's possible FL could get a tune out of him but I still don't see why we'd put him there. He's at his most threatening when he's running with the ball at pace against defenders where he has the option of either cutting inside or taking it to the byline to deliver a cross or create a scoring opportunity.

Moving him into the middle on his own nullifies that threat as he'll have to play with his back to goal - which he struggles doing - in a role where he can't be as direct.

Wright is very 2 footed, see no reason he couldn't play on the right just as well as the left.
