Bassette only had to lob the Goalie in the first half, and why didn't he just bloody shoot in that second half chance.
And why take Tats off when he's the only one crossing into the box?

Lampard doesn't have a lot of options, Sheaf isn't a leader , Eccles is just not good enough and Torp is a luxury player at absolute best Rudoni at least can control the ball but does fuck all with it, we played ok tonight but playing Bassette from the start was a mistake but again Lampards only option is Simms who is just not looking great at all

Nah not for me, it's not the issue. a couple just aren't good enough yet, a few are knackered (MvE poor bloke has no back up).

I think they lack belief. The defence are shaky and nerves get to them all. That first goal was such bad luck. But we looked ok when we got our tails up for a bit in the second half.

2nd goal was a shambles and highlights the problem we have at the back. Would love an older head to come in and be a calming influence. I actually don't think we are far off being very competitive. A few good bits of business and we'll look a lot better

Sheaf looks out of sorts , EMC very disappointing tonight , hope Wright is fit asap.

I don't believe they don't care, but some of the recruitment has been very poor, and Sheaf and MvE don't even look half the players they were last year. I don't know what's going on with those two.
I think we failed hard not getting in back ups for both Sheaf and MvE. We just can't afford to drop either or give them a rest.

Would have been ideal to try get in some succession planning in and use this season to rotate and bed in a youngster

That is classed as an ok performance yet we still gifted them a goal, showed no courage on the ball and repeatedly hesitated on the ball. We're just so weak all over the pitch. I've said repeatedly you can't trust one of them. An awful quality in a footballer. I really can't stand some of them.

Maybe just not good enough then.
We havnt adequately replaced Gyokeres, Hamer and O'hare, we've brought in too many young players too soon, and too many league 1 players.

Realistically this seasons over (as long as we don't get dragged into a relegation scrap) so we need to be looking at a mini re-build for next season. 2 transfer windows could make a massive difference, we're 3 experienced players away from being challenging again.

They care but Lampard needs to be strong now and drop a few that are nowhere near it atm.

Collins, Milan and Rudoni. Embarrassing.
MVE is being flogged to death. We do not have cover for him. He is quality. Played the lovely cross in that should have resulted in the equaliser.

This group of players just don't seem that bothered. No-one is fighting for the cause. We need 3 or 4 big signings in January/Summer if we aren't going to drift into obscurity.
I agree we need a new left back, 2 centre backs and a number 10 that links midfielder and attack.

It must be incredibly frustrating for the likes of MVE, Torp, Sheaf, Sakamoto, Mason Clarke, Wright and I would go as far as including Simms, it's got to be frustrating for this group of lads when they are having to play alongside Joel, Bobby, Binks, Kitching, BTA, Rudoni.

There's a group of lads that are absolutely good enough and then there is a group of lads that simply aren't good enough and it never ends well.

Gyok, Hamer, O'Hare have all moved on and It won't be long until the cycle continues and MVE, Sheaf and Wright follow suit, purely because, as a club we always have had this habit of having 3 or 4 top talents and then 4 or 5 that are dreadful and are consistently putting our club in a position we shouldn't be in.

Recruitment needs to be looked at, we didn't need BTA, he cost us 2 million quid, he hasn't got a first touch, no ball control, he runs for the sake of running, without cause, he is a league 1 footballer. The 4 centre backs, all of them are not good enough. Rudoni, playing where O'Hare did last season, it's honestly a far cry when you compare the 2 players talent wise.

We need 4 players bringing in, 2 new centre backs a left back and a number 10 to link the midfield and forwards.
