Players Don't Care (7 Viewers)

Why is MVE looking so knackered? We're not even half way through the season.

At the end of a season with a good cup run, I get it but early December??
I agree with you weeman. He is knackered. The fact is that MVE basically has to play every minute of every game. And has had to adapt to both RB and RWB this season. It's not MVE's fault at all - and I would not be surprised if he is carrying a knock. I'm sure Sheaf is as well. The basic problem is that our recruitment has been unbalanced and we have no alternatives for these players - and they have either been run into the ground or forced to play through injuries. This has to be addressed in January. We've basically reduced our 2 of our highest potential players into shadows of who they really are.

Because he plays every game, we do not have someone who can come in and give him a rest or replace him if he's playing poorly, which he is.
Yeah I get that Torch but we've played 20 games - we'll have had numerous players over the years play 20 games and not look as knackered as MVE looks.

There were 15 minutes to go when we went two down, but we just meekly accepted the result after that. Absolutely no leadership from anybody there. It's about 3 years since we came back in similar circumstances at Bournemouth, just couldn't see that happening at all tonight.
We've come back from behind to get points multiple times this season.

I am aware of that. My point was about last night, the second goal killed us completely.

I drew the comparison with that Bournemouth game as it was away from home, and we'd gone 2-0 down with less than a third of the game left. Bournemouth had a strong team that season and were promoted yet we still went at them to get something from the game. There was very little of that kind of spirit last night.

Milan desperately needs a break. Would look at Eccles playing as the right back but understand that’s round pegs and square holes.

I honestly think the multiple meltdown threads on here are absurd.

Doom and gloom when Robins was in charge, same doom and gloom with Frank 🤷‍♂️ Sure we're stuttering a bit, but we aren't that far off.

I think the best change would be to bring Kitching in for Lati and move Lati to right back for 70 min, then bring MVE on for the last 20+ mins.

The next game is at home so I don't think we'll see it then.

Also a good shout, he just needs a week off. Mentally and physically knacked

Really hard to be positive. No leadership on the pitch. No players with their heads up taking hold of the game.

I really don’t rate EMC and last night was a classic performance from him.
The ball was only passed to him twice!

Sheaf looks out of sorts.

Looking to move on maybe, has his mind on other things.

Well good luck with that, the way he's performing this season, no chance. 😞

Allen and sheaf were the pairing last season when we had our decent run, in a 442. Collins mve kitching Thomas bidwell we’re pretty decent for a lot of those games, went a bit pear shaped after the wolves game ?

Jake Bidwell doesn't "make enough impact at this level"? You mean the same Bidwell who was starting LWB in our Championship play-off final season?

Yeah? That season we again didn’t get out of the championship? And Jake Bidwell is somehow the reason we’ll get out of the championship?

I’m not saying he’s dog shit, clearly he isn’t but we can’t pretend he’s the quality we need to get from 16th to top 4. It’s not just him but we clearly need a better squad, just saying the players aren’t trying hard enough every week isn’t going to change anything imo.

This group of players just don't seem that bothered. No-one is fighting for the cause. We need 3 or 4 big signings in January/Summer if we aren't going to drift into obscurity.
No chance and knee jerk nonsense

Agree completely, he’s running up and down that right side every week and has no chance to have a rest. I don’t think he’s doing a bad job tbf it’s just every time he gets near the opposition’s defence he’s either well marked or there’s no decent chances for him to pass with intent. It’s all very predictable from almost every player on the pitch and I think that comes down to player quality rather than lack of effort (mostly).

I think they care. They are just “nice”. We need some unfettered aggression.
So we can play with 10 players more. This is not 1990 and you can't get away with uncontrolled aggression! We need players who are mentally brave, can lose the ball trying to beat a player but try the same thing 5 mins later.
