The franchise has evolved quite a bit from it's bawdy, 60's past hasn't it.

Not sure this one is going to be that funny at all to be honest.

Every few months there seems to be rumours about a new actual Carry On film. Would be interested to see how one turned out if they ever did make it. How they get the balance between not offending everyone, updating it and keeping fans of the original franchise happy.

Right, I've had a pill, so will probably regret this post in the morning...

Boybands Forever (iPlayer) is really good.

In my chemically altered state I keep drawing parallels with football.

Talented, working class boys, in a tight formation doing what they love, adored by millions but spat out when they stop being useful for the management.

Sorry Otis.
Got it all wrong, he was taken out by a Russian agent and series closed.
Not in the version I just watched, he wasn't.

In mine, he gave all the killing up, retired to Norfolk, married Bianca and then went on to win several gold medals in the East Coast, clay pigeon and hook a duck championships

I really enjoyed it, you see how much they were just seen as a replaceable commodity that's chewed up and spit out the other side rather than people.

Ah, Day out at Dereham.
Was actually there last week but somehow missed him.

I can’t believe it wouldn’t just be woke rubbish - comedy has changed - still
Love the CO films - my favourite is Khyber followed by Convenience 🤩 there again I am still watching Thunderbirds going through the episodes from the 60s

For those who enjoyed the series, "Dexter", Paramount are showing a prequel series on Sky. It relates to how Dexter Morgan started his life as a serial killer. New episode each week. Enjoyed episode one.

Pig (Netflix).

Lovely film. I'd recommend watching it without reading up on it at all.

It's got Nicholas Cage and a pig. That's all you need to know.

Watched the Specials concert from the Cathedral which was on Sky Arts tonight - has the band talking about Coventry in some small cameos throughout the gig - jealous of anyone who went - was excellent on film
