Not massively fussed about Cork, but both Henderson and Carroll are now England internationals. What may have been.

Cork has been one of Burnleys best players this season. He was still fairly raw when we had him, but read the game very well and looked to have potential. Still, Sheff turned him inside out for that wonder goal, heh heh.

Absolutely unbelievable!!! Andy Carrol, Jack Cork and Jordan Henderson were lined up and SISU pulled the plug. Just listened to that wanker Brodie, squirming through his bullshit. I am now convinced that these bastards need to fuck off now! If they were not willing to invest before, why would they consider it now. That North American Twat wants his greedy mitts on The Ricoh, and cares nothing about our club. Bring on Hoffman please!!!

Henderson and Cork... Look at what trouble we've had with our midfield this season? Having those two would be so good.

SISU are not football people and so it was Ranson's job as chairman to persuade SISU that these signings were of paramount importance. This he obviously did not do so shouldn't he take some of the stick?

agreed !!!!!!

Thing is, there are SOOO many stories about "we could have signed........."

there must have been sevreal people sniffing around dann and fox when we signed them, probabily lower league than us as well...

If every chairman spoke out, you would hear.......

Brighton chairman saying "we nearly signed Scott Dann, but chairman didnt want to match coventry offer, yadda yadda......."

No, as that was the original business plan. They chose to deviate from it, which they have yet to publically explain or acknowledge. They just want "a shot at getting back their investment", to quote Dulieu on CWR just now. They were never going to invest more, RR had no chance of persuading them. If anything, yeah he should have stuck to his guns when he resigned over Dann/Fox. What concerns me is that Hoffman persuaded him to stay on, and must have thought there was a way to work with SISU then. He may still think that now, even if SISU evidently do not. But if so, it proves there is no impending financial support to back Hoff yet. So i fear we are stuck with SISU, who just see the Arena as a way of recouping some of their 32m. And screw the football club, who just give them grief and slag them off.

Well looking at it through SISU's eyes they invested heavily originally to get the clubs finances straightish and then invested in players to see absolutely no difference on the pitch. It could be argued that things have gone downhill since they invested. Any company would slow down the rate of investment in these circumstances. This is why it was Ranson's job to persuade them of the importance of these signings. Also any business plan is there to be altered.

Funny how Dulieu apparantly managed to charm them where RR failed, eh? Brody says we'll be in the Prem "within 2 seasons...but sooner will be a bonus". So hold on for the ride boys, looks like we're headed back to the top!!! SISU ROOL!!!

No transfers this summer? how about replacements for Westie & Gunner!! the club will never improve as Sisu won't invest were does this Brody get this "operation premiership" in 2 years from if the club isn't willing to invest in any players?

SISU said on wednesday that some of the players will be leaving in the summer - I presume they mean everyone out of contract

Carsley, King, Westy just pull the spine out of the team why dont you!

Spot on - the only way to get out of this league is to invest in quality players. so close - so very freakin close. I hate you SISU

That team would have been a pretty dominant force in the league, adding the likes of Clingan, Turner, Cranie, Eastwood and what I strong squad it would have been.

We cant live in the past however, the worrying thing now is the talk of no money for players in the summer. If this is true the future looks bleak.
