I think Lampard is a naive an inexperienced manager who has never got his teams to play above their level and who is clueless tactically.

Players don’t just become bad en masse, they play in systems that don’t suit them or they don’t know what’s expected of them.

So that’s your criticism of Lampard

Why do you think this team was so poor under Robins?

Seriously? What do you base this off?

He needs time, he’s now got a window now to do what he needs to do, but that was- once again- really poor, and I don’t understand why some people are so defensive and protective about other people calling it what it was. Even if the players are diabolical, wouldn’t you have expected to see something encouraging by now?

Yet it’s the ones that don’t want us to continue being shit who are the ones who “want city to fail” not the ones who have set the bar so low it’s used as a ground source heat pump.

Or Jim the Gateman.

On current evidence Robins alone was getting more from this squad than Lampard is.

Except statistics show Lampard is doing better

I think it often takes us a few games to get going and the new staff needed time to bed in. I thought just before Derby it looked like that was starting to happen TBH. Derby was poor but no worse than several games that have followed it.

So, for 3 months last season we were playing great, in play off form, and had a cup run which produced 2 cracking performances.

Then Lawrence left, the wheels started to come off and then Viveash left.

Poor form continues in to this season, Robins replaced by Lampard and some high level coaches, and OK, that's going to take time to bear fruit.

But surely at some point this team has to get back to being much, much better. I'm not saying play off contenders but even just a solid mid table side because at the moment they're absolutely fucking dreadful.

We've lost O'Hare, (huge player for us in my book), Wright's injured but its pretty much the same group.

How the fuck have they deteriorated so much?

People can say this one is a bad signing or that one, but they've shown they can do it.

Even of the maligned new signings, BTA scored 12 goals for the Baggies last season .

I can't help but think there is something much more deep rooted going on.

Hopefully Lampard gets to the bottom of it and is able to get a few in, and out, the door in January.

That period of time where we were good is looking smaller and smaller each week.

It's a bang average, midtable side that on their day get turn up and out play anyone.

O'Hare was a major part of that period o ed Christmas. There's an argument to say how important Palmer was in that period. We've lost both of them and replaced them with Rudoni and Torp.

I actually don’t think he had. I think he was getting the best out of this squad from the looks of it. My real worry is the guy who assembled the squad is still in charge of assembling the squad.
Robins said himself he signed the players off, Robins was stale and I think he thought he was untouchable, it was rubbish under Robins but it’s not a lot better now. A lot of this is on Robins.

It’s a poor result in isolation. That’s what I’ve said and people are saying we have agendas?

I don’t know who you’re calling a bellend for saying my opinion. Put me on mute if you care that much you prick
It wasn't an opinion. It was an attempt to mock others who are willing to give Lampard a little more time than clowns like you.

So presumably that applies to Lampard and his staff too then?

For me it's really simple, this group Binks, Joel, Bobby, Joel, Kitch, Dasilva, Collins are all League 1 Football players.

If DK spends money on rebuilding this fault, we bring in 2 quality centre backs, we win this game today 1-0.

The centre backs are the worst we have had since we got back in this division.

Beyond tactics these players just look spineless. So any instructions probably go on deaf ears anyway.

First half was worse than Pompey.

I think he's telling them not to lose possession mate. It's a bloody obsession.

Funnily enough when we went more direct at the start of the second half we got a goal and looked a threat. Then we went to our standard approach even when they were down a man.

And I'm with you on having Bassette and Simms up front, but it's no good if you're not willing to chance an occasional early ball over the top or down the channels.
We’re so easy to play against, all Cardiff did was the same milwall did, just sit back and let us have the ball, we just go backwards or sideways or just run out of ideas and just put a hopeful ball in behind, the one time we put a quality ball in behind simms/assante should of scored, the other balls in from sheaf were pathetic, we just play slow boring football with nothing at the end, until options change, how we play won’t

First half was dreadful all round. Awful. Second half really showed how weak we are at the moment. No craft, no leadership, no pace. I can’t see a position where Torp can play. He’s achingly slow. We have two dreadful centre halves on the ball and all we do is give them the ball. 55 mins in we should have gone 2 up top. It was crying out for it. One positive - Dovin. Played really well

As far as I'm aware, he had personal problems and there was some turmoil in the background amongst the coaching team. And anyway, he was sacked so got punished for it.

So Robins has an excuse for being shite but Lampard doesn’t?

I understand now

In all seriousness, where’s the decision to play so slowly coming from?

Players weak mentality and lack of confidence or instructions from the bench, or both.

Poor, poor performance.

On paper, the results the last few games look fine, but in context of who we’ve played it’s not great.
We were like this against QPR and Derby with Robins in charge. Both really poor sides who we never beat

Reading the match threads.

Who is coming across as somehow ‘happy’ after watching that?

This is a huge window now because so far, Plymouth aside, we have seen nothing encouraging. If these players really are so garbage then Lampard needs to be making some serious demands and doing a lot of business.

Dreadful. Awful team. Horrible players

with the exception of Dovin, Wilson, MVE, Lats, JDS, Bidwell, Allen, Sheaf, EMC, BTA, Rapha, Wright, Simms, Rudoni and Tats

the remaining few are bad apples - attitudes, tantrums, thinking they are better than others or they deserve a place in the team, all sorts - won’t get anywhere as a team when they aren’t playing for each other and there are divides

some players’ heads have dropped because they keep being let down and they don’t enjoy the toxic atmosphere, we’re going to lose some gems soon because of it
