Given the fixtures lampards start has been even worse than expected.

The next 4 matches are bristol, blackburn, watford and swansea.

Not world beaters but not shit either, lampard really needs to come up with some results to show some evidence of progress, if we come out of those 1-3 points it's hard to argue a case for Lampard to continue.

From all the “blatant foul”, “how’s the ref missed that” I was expecting a whole lot more from that then it was. The same people would be frothing if that was given a foul against our striker. It’s so weak. Why does he run like he’s in treacle.

We sat back, Norwich dominated, we managed to muster 1 decent chance but BTA put it wide. They continued to pile on the pressure, scored a worldie, then in 95th minutes got round the back and scored a deflected goal. We never even looked like we want to score a second and kill the game.
About right, but Lati had 2 chances to stop that goal. terrible Defending, worked their bollocks off for 90 mins then just switched off, for the 2nd, gutting

these fuckers are pushing Lampard under the bus slowly, he needs to kick a few fucking arses and dump off Asante, Simms, DaSilva and get some new faces in asap. Did Sheaf bottle it also, coming off injured without a phsio near him?? He's on his way I think

What a fucking kick in the balls that was. Jesus fucking h Christ…BTA choosing to pass that effort to the side! What the fuck was he thinking?
I thought we looked half decent for most of the game.
Gutting. Was it Walsall this happened to us against a few years back?
Fuckers.

Talk of relegation battles by some are a bit hysterical, to be honest.

Do I think we're good? Absolutely not. Do I think there are at least three teams worse, much worse, than us? Absolutely yes.

That hurt, of course, and I am going for a walk to calm down, some may need to do the same. Give yourselves a break.

Before the game, losing 2-1 would have seemed realistic, if disappointing.

Given what actually happened, it’s the manner of the defeat which hurts.

The change of tactics and yet another first XI deviation is never to help the team. I can see Lampard was trying to adjust to cope with Norwich but the constant chopping and changing of the starting XI just doesn’t seem to be effective

The lesson for King is that switching manager doesn’t change things if the squad isn’t good enough.

It’s about survival now and trying to limit damage if players are sold this January.

Originally, I think most of us agreed that we were a top 12 team only but even that seems optimistic now

Ref gave them a stack of those, every time Bassette went near one of their defenders he blew up

I’m gonna go for some pints to calm down.

Toys back in the pram then out again in the last 5 minutes.
Top Deck Doug needs to get us experience in the team.
We needed subs near the end with fresh legs. Bad decision by Lamps and his coaches leaving it as was.

thought sheaf played well, looked knackered anyway, that was the turning point, Eccles came on And we just got deeper and deeper, 1-1 as gutting as it was can accept that, worldie…. but the winner, just sums up this season

That might be true, but what frustrates me was the change from the 3 out of 5 seasons in the play offs logic. Seemed so much more reasonable and sober. The change to the rash ‘this season top 6’ logic just felt so hasty.

It beats me how a fanbase who have been so sceptical of owners (with very good cause), suddenly took in everything being "promised" about top 6, promotion etc, from a new owner (presumably because he was saying what people wanted to hear and spending money).

Championship is always a nightmare league and its a fine margin between playoff challenge and lower midtable obscurity.

Great pefromance that. Those of you whinging get to fuck. We have played worse than that and won

Stats suggest otherwise. Did we really test Gunn? Aside from the TA chance in the second half we were slack going forward.
Agreed if we win that 1-0 we’re celebrating, and feeling very fortunate but ugly wins count just as much as the better ones.
but to lose it the way we did with such poor defending at he death is disappointing

That one really fucking hurt.

Whether it was a foul or not, only one person was giving it to the ref at the end, Eccles, where were the rest of the cunts?
Where was captain shitebag?
Pathetic bunch of fannies
Regardless of it being a lost cause or even a foul for that matter, any other team would be surrounding the ref protesting furiously. If I were the gaffer I'd be looking at the players having the craic with the Norwich players after the whistle and banishing them from 1st team contention until they got their attitude in gear.

I feel absolutely gutted at this result. Could only update on BBC Sports app, and then Final Score.
I had big hopes when SISU finally went and King Kong took over. I was wrong. And Lampard? He is simply not good enough for management of a football club. They've all tried and failed. Top players but shit managers. Gerrard, Rooney, etc and now Lampard. Playing and management are two different roles.
I'd love King Kong to sell and sod off and Lampard to follow. He's fucking clueless!

yeah due to the ref not giving a foul and deflection
no one said it was "all good", just said it wasn't the shit show folk make out
We were winning until the 90th minute. We were lucky to be in front at that point. We were mostly garbage throughout. Front two weak as piss. Kitching and Dovin were our best players by a mile

Thought we played well today, pressed well and defended well. When Norwich inevitably came at us for the last 10 minutes they got a worldie and their last was a foul on Lati.
Just heartbreaking really but that's football.

It's disappointing absolutely but we weren't shit

The anti climax to all the pre season hype didn’t take long to set in. Injuries have fucked us all season but even so , when we needed astute signings we plumped for lower league players and other teams cast offs. We need to survive this nightmare season and have a hell of a clear out in the Summer.

Apologies. Not read the rest of the thread. My thoughts. Expected little, but players put in a proper shift. Asante should have scored. Game over. Worldy equaliser - fair enough. However, that blatant push for their 'winner' was an inexcusable decision by the referee. Not even close to debatable. That cost us a point,; not anything that followed. Robbed, and can't blame the team / manager today. On coach, annoyed - but not with the team.

But my complaint isn’t the promise of top 6, it’s the change of logic from a broad sample to make a judgement of the club’s progress.

People who moan about BTA would rather have someone who's half arsed but scores the odd goal that someone who shows energy and desire. It's so weird
