Not much mention of our pen on the ref thread. I’ve watched replays and contact (if any) on Bassette seems minimal. I’m ready to be corrected. Was anyone in a good position to tell for sure?
Definitely a pen, even though Bassette was commited to the dive before the contact was made. (Look at him throwing his arms up before the challenge went in)Not much mention of our pen on the ref thread. I’ve watched replays and contact (if any) on Bassette seems minimal. it was a penWas right in front of me maybe ten yards away. Didn’t look like a pen at all live. Not watched it back yet.
By the book-yes. The thing is that we don’t know if the referee had blown the whistle for the restart of play or if he was ready or watching when the ball was played. It is “safe” officiating which the general football fan who hasn’t Refereed a match will not be able to grasp (not aimed at anyone by the way ), as if play continues and a goal is scored etc then the Referee opens up a can of worms for himself. One for you @Adge in the first half Bassette was standing over a Hull free kick, their player tried to kick it against him and missed and it fell to one of our players in the final third. I’m right in saying no infringement and play on, yes?
Apart from no second booking for the pen.Although Madeley is getting pelters from some, overall I thought he was ok. Was a bit fussy first half and gave a few soft fouls but 2nd half had a better half in all fairness.
He booked their goalkeeper fairly early for timewasting.Worst yet. It was pathetic.
When he started moaning at Collins for time wasting after Hull spent 70 minutes doing it
Easy one as won’t have to caution again whilst looking toughHe booked their goalkeeper fairly early for timewasting.
So if the goalkeeper then comes like say Wilson has and takes a player out that wouldn't be an offence?Easy one as won’t have to caution again whilst looking tough
Less likely than an outfield playerSo if the goalkeeper then comes like say Wilson has and takes a player out that wouldn't be an offence?
I actually think he should’ve booked the right back, as he wasted most of the timeEasy one as won’t have to caution again whilst looking tough
Coyle, big player for them last season, proper wind up merchant and buyer of FK 's, didn't have his best day though did he?I actually think he should’ve booked the right back, as he wasted most of the time
Exactly what I was thinking and why he booked the gkI actually think he should’ve booked the right back, as he wasted most of the time

Yep me tooThink he’d already warned the keeper about timewasting so when the opportunity came it was an easier ‘win’.
He should’ve had at least two yellows, but it’s a good job he stayed on otherwise EMC wouldn’t have been able to turn him inside out so many times.Coyle, big player for them last season, proper wind up merchant and buyer of FK 's, didn't have his best day though did he?
Yup. Even the Norwich forum are saying they'd be fuming if it was the other way round.
The thing is he didn't need to. He slowed down for it.
it's a nailed on foulHaven’t seen it back but I didn’t think it was a foul. Seemed like Lati was looking for it…
He did, he slowed down waiting for the touch.Haven’t seen it back but I didn’t think it was a foul. Seemed like Lati was looking for it…
goes right into the back of him
yeah and the striker obliged and fouled himHe did, he slowed down waiting for the touch.
I dont think it's a foul, and I think it gets given as a foul far too often. Football is a contact sport. What's about his dive minutes earlier in the box when the striker is just stronger than him? Just deal with the ball. Again can you imagine Fadz letting that happen without taking the ball with him.yeah and the striker obliged and fouled him
goes right into the back of him
It was a blatant foul. People’s dislike of Latibeaudiere is clouding their judgement. He’d given Norwich far, far softer fouls throughout the game.
Correct. Just hoof the ball over the stand.I agree but he had given us fuck all all game.
Lati gambled on being given a free kick rather than just clearing it.
Yeah ref was shit so don't risk it.
