Apparently CB has been out on the back burner with Sheafs injury

All eyes on a new CM

Then the centre half

It is 1 in 1 out. Moneys gone
I've feared this was the case with all the noise about outgoings.

People are saying its the player agents, but I've got the feeling that its the club pushing it trying to drum up interest.

Pretty concerning that we're out of funds, a disappointing season, leading to lower season ticket sales next year etc could start another downward cycle

No it is King. He’s tighter than a nuns chuff and unwilling to put his own money in, just money that he’s earnt through player sales.

He could quite easily put £5m in, in advance of player sales in the summer
Is he not covering our losses to the tune of ~£5m a year?

I don't get this argument of him not putting his own money in. He is, surely, unless my understanding is wrong.

So you think he’s been putting in £6m half yearly for the last 2.5 years?
I don’t know, I’m just telling you we had a directors loan of 6 million from when he’s owned us from the playoff year.

As the sisu debts were cleared before the account was created, we know that this has come from Doug.

He’s definitely put in money whether he has for transfers is another matter

So you’re saying he covered player trading in that period.

We signed 3 cheap loans and a free player. Hardly significant cash
No mate, he covered the losses.

The club lost £5m that FY, and that includes making a £2.4m profit from Hyam so it's more like £7m

Basically you don't understand that the club just loses money every single year and Doug has to cover that before he can even think about adding extra finance in for buying players.

edit: operating loss for 22/23 was £7.8m. 21/22 £5.6m. That doesn't include player trading. When people complain about Doug "not putting his own money in" he is covering those losses?

Entire recruitment setup should've followed Robins out the door at the same time. Have to hope King realises this as the season ends in lower midtable mediocrity but I wouldn't hold my breath. Pointless spending more money if you can't recognise talent or value.

So he was an average finisher. i.e. not clinical. Not sure why this is difficult to understand.

This was all in response to someone comparing him to BTA last season. Neither of them were any better than average at actually finishing chances, which is my entire point.

Technically no, he was a bad finisher then a good finisher which averages out to an average finisher.

1 in 1 out sounds rather simplistic, 1 leaving for multiple millions is obviously different to someone leaving on loan or for peanuts. That said i'm not surprised on the spending, we've spent a lot tbf. We will likely need to generate from another sale. Assuming MvE is the most likely.
it's bollocks as well

i'm putting him on block as he's now posting utter bollocks daily for attention

We will see from fy24 accounts but I’d be extremely surprised if player sales didn’t cover the loss last year
