I'm told if they both go, that should give us the funds to PURCHASE the Chelsea CM.

Burroughs is being looked at as the Milan stand in until end of season, depending Lampards view

Shifting on then Tavares and Collins will mean we have funds to buy another player also
I like the move for Rak-Sakyi MUCH more if it's a buy. Zero experience of grown man football means it will take him time to get up to speed but he has a lot of potential.

Could be in for a big rebuild in the summer in the strikers department. BTA potentially off this month, Haji surely leaving if we do not go up - If Norm has a decent 2nd half to the season would it be a massive surprise if a prem club came calling and if Simms recaptures some of his from from last year I'm sure he would have some admirers as well

Just hope we don't let BTA play against us next week because we sll know what will happen and I can't do yet another late journey back down yhe M6 in a bad mood!

Bassette is barely ready for the Championship, there's zero chance of a Premier League side coming in for him

hes got potential, and giving him starts gives him confidence an experience, if simms isnt firing, isnt on it in trianing, and bassette is, then you have to start bassette.

You really don’t. His scoring record throughout his career is poor and his all round play is Tavares level. He’s might come good but somehow people have memed him into the next Vik. BTA for all his faults was a solid 1 in 3 striker before he came here.

Last season maybe. At Salford he was less than 1 in 4…

Nobody has had a go at not reinvestment of funds received. It is how the funds have been reinvested. If you're after proof look at how most seem happy if we made a loss on a player we recently signed.
The OP was, hence my comment.

It’s clear that the reinvestment has been questionable but questioning whether King will pocket the cash is based off of nothing.

If Lati is sold are we not looking at bringing another CB in or will we just have to make do with 3 until the end of the season?

I agree, but there has been rumours of Brighton, Newcastle and another prem club monitoring him. I think him being capped by Belgium has inflated his reputation but prem clubs could see him as a cheap punt

So if one player is playing poorly, he should still start every week because the replacement is 20? ‘Throughout his career’ is a stretch for someone who made c.60 apps before joining us. BTA was 1 in 4 at WBA (a team who had just been relegated from the Premier League) and 1 in 4 at Salford in L2.

Fucking hell. If you think Bassette is Tavares level that’s enough info for me to disregard all of your footballing opinions.

Bassette does some things right for sure, but his biggest flaw is he isn't scoring enough goals, I am sure as a young striker he will get better.

He does have a lot of good things going for him though, he's quick, energetic, tenacious and I think that's why Lampard plays him to press from the front. I'd like to see more of Bassette and Simms together, if Lampard decides to stick with the two up top.
