I always tell the wife about the couple of extra inches as well to be fair.

Just googled Juninho Paulista...cracking player at Boro in the 90s, I know you're remember him. Apparently he's 1.65m and Dasilva is 1.7m (wiki).

Jordan Clarke was 6 foot on wiki

I’d put him as a CAM in training, and see how well he does. Passing, movements, vision, interplay etc.

Realistically, it’s the only place he could feasibly go, if a positional transition happened.

Either that or he can make fucking coffee all day for the squad.

He’s hardly a kid and he was an awful signing
Haha sorry but at my age anyone under 40 is a kid. Dasilva may not have been a great signing, but was a regular starter last season.
Must be in double figures for this season ( not bothered checking so could be wrong).
And one of the handful of players who can control a ball, without it bouncing 10 feet off him when it comes to him.
Obvious weaknesses, size being one of them.
But nowhere near the disaster of a player some on here make him out to be.
I have watched the opposition target him with high balls over the top, I have also watched them do exactly the same to Bidwell as he is slow to turn and get back.
Good tactic a lot of teams use against a lot of fullbacks.

God why are you such a negative responder?!

Multiple other websites have Dasilva at 1.7m and Juninho at 1.65m.

Lighten up a little.

He also has the turning circle of an oil tanker when we lose possession going forward and the pace of a snail

Bidwell has been rubbish this season too.

Not much point doing anything about in January as we have other more pressing concerns, but LB will have to be a priority in the summer.

his height wouldn’t be an issue if he is coached positionally on how to avoid getting caught out with balls in behind / over the top
Dasilva is 26 years old and has been coached positionally by lots of different coaches since he made his professional debut 8 years ago.
I doubt any coach in the world could make him a good Championship left back as he will always be the weak link in a team`s defence due to his physical limitations.
It is not only his lack of height that opposition target him for. He also lacks pace and strength which results in him winning very few duels.

It would be best for the club to sell him so that the money can be used towards a left back that has all of the attributes to be a good Championship left back but it is unlikely that there will be any interest in him

Bidwell hasn’t been rubbish though - he’s showing his age now and can’t play every game but is miles better as an option than Dasilva

That's what making 85,000 posts does to you, don't know where he gets the time of the day to do it.
