Absolutely right. All the twinkly footwork leads to bugger all and in the meantime he is a defensive liability. Bidders' charging runs create far more chances.

Da Silva = flatter to deceive

You're one of those that are totally unwilling to give him any credit whatsoever, no matter what.

He had a good game yesterday.

He has never been quite as bad as painted by a lot on here.
One of the few players we have who can actually retain possession.
And at the moment in the wingback role he is being asked to play, he is doing very well.
But come the next defeat,it will be his fault.

He’s not, he just sadly lacks the physical attributes to play at fullback where he’s been played most of this year as a wingback he’s decent

....but what did it produce? Did he create a chance - apart from the one when he fell over? It's all show and no delivery. He certainly can't defend and seems very unwilling to overlap. He is a good outball receiver but that is about it. He has always been a luxury.

He was unlucky not to win a penalty and a lot of our best play came down the left.

He even defended pretty well yesterday.

Is it so difficult just to admit he had a pretty good game?

He sent Simms clear to create the chance that Rudoni should have put away.

The stat is quite misleading though. Twice yesterday Dasilva won the ‘duel’ but only headed the ball 2 foot in front of him and straight to Mccrorie. I don’t expect Dasilva to win ‘aerial duels’ but I expect him to have a plan to deal with them as MVE seems to.

He had a reasonable game by his usual standards but it was generally all very safe.
But that was in itself was an improvement.
