Both the most likely departures now look important to the team, and all we would get with the money in all probability would be a player of a similar level.

Even with a new player play offs are almost certainly beyond us, so let's not panic buy. The man to cash in on is Haji Wright.

Transfer activity in January is down across the board and a lot of that is down to FFP in the top divisions.

Always felt that his trouble with us was down to lack of game time in his proper position. Any player being limited to 20-30m cameos in their 2nd/3rd position isn’t going to demonstrate their best for us.

In my mind, he’s still firmly behind Simms but between them, they’ve got 3 goals in 3 games against top half opposition (including Sheff W in the FA Cup) and they’ve looked good value together.
