or maybe us fans don’t hear about half the stuff that goes on the background

info I get I share that’s what the forum is all bout

shows if anything how difficult it is to get a deal over the line this window

Thomas and now Matondo

both were looking very likely at one stage
The deal off? Or just hit a roadblock?

Been thinking this also.
Stamenic
Rollheiser
The Ajax guy
Possibly more we don't know about.
Are the recruitment team aiming just a little too high? Not finding the balance? (Or not working hard enough to find hidden gems - all of the above all over other teams radars)

Remember when Mowbray and Venus got lucky with Armstrong/Kent....then the following summer went out to do "presentation" to try to get the likes of Tammy Abraham when we were never going to get near him.....
We ended up panic signing Dan Agyei and Keane Thomas..... and got relegated...
still think we go after players we’ve got no intention of signing just to say to the fans “ look we’re trying “ then get league 1 players in ?

That's fair enough but Rangers made out Cantwell was a knob, he couldn't wait to get out so either they both are knobs or Rangers are the Scottish version of Man U, they just ruin players.

Well we brought him down here. If it’s true that the vibes were off when he met in person I think that’s fair enough. He’s not talented enough and we’re not desperate enough to take anyone.

Yeah he could of give them vibes, I hope not tho because he's very talented and has the kinda pace that give defenders nightmares lol, imagine a defence that has to deal with EMC down the left and Matondo down the right

How do we know another player has come up? We clearly need better positions filling so if we miss out on a winger I’ve never heard of then I’m fine with that

asked my rangers mate who follows them home and away and his reply was “nothing to shout about. Can’t get near our team and we’re poor”

Do we really want someone who needs so much persuading to come? He's supposed to be a pro footballer who has played 6 games all season but seems content to stay where he is and not playing just for the money

We have no idea that is the case at all. If it is an option or obligation to buy it will be far more complex agreeing terms on a longer contract anyway

Can’t really see the point. Rangers are shit and he can’t get in their side. BTA must be off if we are bringing him in. Don’t like the sound of his dodgy hamstring either.
We have 1 right winger in the squad. Why would that mean we sell a striker?

When it says bonus and add on fees, doesn’t that sound like more to the club than to the player? I'm sure it'll be straightened out, bit of haggling.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's agents demanding payments and messing about, knowing that other clubs are sniffing. Given where we are ( league position etc,) )then if there's any doubt, I'd sooner hang on until the summer, when the market isn't quite as inflated. These last 2 victories have taken the pressure off any potential desperation signings imo. Fine if the right player is available, otherwise - leave alone.

Funnily enough I think the opposite. Didn’t care about signings before, now we’re looking up the table I think a couple of signings to see if we can extend our run and push for playoffs would be a good idea.

I’m still slightly puzzled why we want wingers first. For me central midfield and LB & RB take priority
