Been thinking this also.so we identify a player from a top club club who we know is on a wage we can’t match, talks break down because we can’t agree/afford what the selling club wants, waste of time, like last season,
KwameBeen thinking this also.
Stamenic
Rollheiser
The Ajax guy
Possibly more we don't know about.
Are the recruitment team aiming just a little too high? Not finding the balance? (Or not working hard enough to find hidden gems - all of the above all over other teams radars)
Remember when Mowbray and Venus got lucky with Armstrong/Kent....then the following summer went out to do "presentation" to try to get the likes of Tammy Abraham when we were never going to get near him.....
We ended up panic signing Dan Agyei and Keane Thomas..... and got relegated...
The deal off? Or just hit a roadblock?or maybe us fans don’t hear about half the stuff that goes on the background
info I get I share that’s what the forum is all bout
shows if anything how difficult it is to get a deal over the line this window
Thomas and now Matondo
both were looking very likely at one stage
still think we go after players we’ve got no intention of signing just to say to the fans “ look we’re trying “ then get league 1 players in ?Been thinking this also.

I don't think it's off, if the lad had no intention of coming to us he wouldn't of come down, think he would like to play under someone like FL which his statue in the game and play for a big club like us, think it's just the latter mateThe deal off? Or just hit a roadblock?
Plus the lad is clearly talented and FL knows this and is good with younger playersThe deal off? Or just hit a roadblock?
And we're a better move/club than Rangers for himPlus the lad is clearly talented and FL knows this and is good with younger players
Auto corrected to Keane!Kwame
That's fair enough but Rangers made out Cantwell was a knob, he couldn't wait to get out so either they both are knobs or Rangers are the Scottish version of Man U, they just ruin players. If he’s a knob and Lampard thinks he would be a knob here I’ve no issues with not signing him tbh.
Rangers are the Scottish version of Birmingham City.Rangers are the Scottish version of Man U

Both shithouse clubs mateRangers are the Scottish version of Birmingham City.
Odious.
Yeah he could of give them vibes, I hope not tho because he's very talented and has the kinda pace that give defenders nightmares lol, imagine a defence that has to deal with EMC down the left and Matondo down the rightWell we brought him down here. If it’s true that the vibes were off when he met in person I think that’s fair enough. He’s not talented enough and we’re not desperate enough to take anyone.
I like Rangers but they are crap and it pains me to say it the only good side in Scotland are Celtic, all the others are first division at bestSaw a Rangers fan saying we'd finish 5th at best in SPL these Scottish fans give me brain rot.
He didGIMOC lets himself down by shooting his wad as soon as he hears a rumour and posting as if it's a done deal.
Just post what you actually hear.
We have no idea that is the case at all. If it is an option or obligation to buy it will be far more complex agreeing terms on a longer contract anywayDo we really want someone who needs so much persuading to come? He's supposed to be a pro footballer who has played 6 games all season but seems content to stay where he is and not playing just for the money
Amazing fan base.Rangers are the Scottish version of Birmingham City.
Odious.
That’s a bit harsh. They’re nowhere near as significant as Birmingham.Rangers are the Scottish version of Birmingham City.
Odious.
We have 1 right winger in the squad. Why would that mean we sell a striker? Can’t really see the point. Rangers are shit and he can’t get in their side. BTA must be off if we are bringing him in. Don’t like the sound of his dodgy hamstring either.
Wouldn't be surprised if it's agents demanding payments and messing about, knowing that other clubs are sniffing. Given where we are ( league position etc,) )then if there's any doubt, I'd sooner hang on until the summer, when the market isn't quite as inflated. These last 2 victories have taken the pressure off any potential desperation signings imo. Fine if the right player is available, otherwise - leave alone.
