He plays 90 mins every game. EVERY game.

For stats, check the first post in this thread.

He was on about Sheaf.

There’s so much out in the media that I think it will be silly to announce it after the game. Best thing is to get the deal done, announce him and he doesn’t play against Swans.
yeah, it seems to be at the stage where even if it isn't announced he wouldn't pay against us so no point in delaying the announcement.

ffs if we are paying £3,5m for him he should absolutely play - none of this fannying around
Not much chance of him playing for either side whatever happens. I suspect things will go slowly so it is too late for him to play this game.

Why? We're on a winning run. Why change the 11?

Surely a player can do better if they've had more than a day or 2 training with their new team mates, rather than just chick him into a system?

Love the contrast between these stats suggesting he's the best midfielder in the league, and the comments by Swansea fans on their forum who are, without exception (certainly on pages 13-15), saying he's shit and they've had our pants down.

Definitely some bitterness their end. We see it on here to be fair when we go through a bad period, suddenly every player is shit and we're going down

One constant I've seen though is 'he only passes sideways and backwards' which makes me laugh when Swansea's style of play has literally been keeping the ball at all costs for the last 10 years :ROFLMAO: of course he will go back if that's what his manager's telling him to do.

I reckon Lampard will get him cooking here 🤞

This isn’t a dig at the ITKs because they only pass on what they get told and it adds a lot of value to the forum!

It does seem that they get told contradictory things and specifics that may be exaggerated (things get lost in translation if the info 1st, 2nd or 3rd hand) or misinterpreted because we’re only humans.

Swansea City club captain, Matt Grimes has played his last game for the club and will have a medical at Coventry City’s Sky Blue Lodge training facility at 1pm today. The details of his move will be for an undisclosed fee but it is being suggested Swansea City Chairman, Andrew Coleman has managed to get as close to four million pounds as is possible, with add ons.

The transfer has come as a surprise but as we reported yesterday he had little chance of having an improved contract at the Swans with him already on around twenty thousand pounds a week. It’s a huge saving for Coleman on salary alone, but there is a lot of suspicion around that the funds will end up unused this January window. To some it’s an end of an era, anything said negatively being taken as a personal insult by many. However, Grimes is a commodity and he is thirty in four months so a deal like this just had to go through. Just like Harry Darling who is getting a lot of interest and he in turn is interested in leaving Swansea this month to the right club. That club is currently Sheffield United but more will be in tow, you can guarantee that this week.

Matt Grimes has been reported as delighted with his move, and Dean Austin at the Sky Blues who looks after these recruitment matters will be rubbing his hands this morning.

Little old Coventry.

People probably scoffed when Brighton, Forest, Bournemouth, Brentford, and ironically, I suppose Swansea slowly waded through the leagues under the radar pinching other teams best players.

Surely he isn’t going to *want* to make his debut for us on Saturday against Swansea at their ground.
I'd say there's no way. He's not trained with the squad (who are playing well), had no time to understand FL and coaching team's system and could even be more likely to come a cropper by a team looking to prove they can do without him and show the swansea support same.

stick him on the bench and bring on to score the penalty to make it 5-0
