I’m told he’s arriving on Monday from same person who told me Matondo’s deal collapsed before the media said it, Carr had left a few hours before it was announced and Tavares had gone to Burton a day before that was announced. If it doesn’t happen then apologies but I’m very confident with what I’ve been told
He's a good player, be a good signing but he plays in a position we have good players, a new signing and good depth

I’ve never seen him play, what type of player is he? Is he creative or more of a holding player? He’s only 21 so maybe wouldn’t expect to start straight away?

Can say Saddle did but it’s not so much that someone hasn’t come out and said Eccles is off but more that their is no noise regarding any of the players leaving
I did say the other day to expect a bid for Eccles to come in the summer. There are whispers. I wouldn't have expected it this window though. I agree with what you said though about it being strange as he did turn us down after fee was agreed. He's also spent 2 months out injured.

Fair on the Eccles point but unless it’s Stoke I can’t see the demand on Monday but good offer helps us and I wouldn’t say no atm as expect Allen to be back on the bench for Grimes.

Just strange this one, not what we need and we can’t exactly even go back to the box when our best players are wingers

TBF we had no one to come on for Torp or Rudoni really today. Grimes Sheaf Allen and Eccles all play a more defensive role. There’s definitely room for a more attacking CM IMO.

It is strange, the only viable reason surely would be Eccles going out. Obviously Sheaf may go in the summer but again like you said it wouldn't be an area we need to address this window after Grimes.
Eccles has been scouted by 3 Championship clubs.

You also said that about Allen, any progress on that?

Afonso Sousa, maybe one for the summer, when he good he's excellent, when he's bad he's bad, if he could get consistentcy to his game he'd be some player. Contract runs out next summer, so maybe a relatively cheap gamble and still got a few years to develop.

I'd heard that at the start of the window he would be open to a move as he wanted more minutes. I think it's probably fair to say that question is dead in the water now. Lampard has given him a chance and he's obviously firmly in his thoughts to keep. Same with Kitching, really glad they batted away that loan approach.
