Yellow card rule? (1 Viewer)

Just watching the Ireland RFU v Scotland rugby, and got to thinking about yellow card bookings. In rugby, if a player is shown a yellow card, he is sent to the 'sin bin' for 10 minutes. What are people's thoughts if this rule was implemented in football? Good idea or unworkable? Thoughts?

You'd just see teams timewasting for the amount of time the player was in the sin bin.

Games would become really turgid and stop start.

Not against it as an idea totally but for me only workable if you change the timing to stopped clock.

Still do it on Saturdays and Sundays up to a pretty high level. But like you say only for telling the referee to fuck off basically
