I don’t mind the back five if our most error prone defenders are not in it.

We haven’t got a back five without error prone defenders. Or a back four for that matter but at least we don’t sit ten men on the edge of our area and keep the ball coming back when we’ve got some forwards on.

We got out of jail thanks to a massive howler by their keeper, but let's not pretend we played well.
Frank's reluctance to make the subs before they equalised could well of cost us at least 2 points.

Shout out to Simms who's showing great physicality and his desire to not give up the chase when the keeper looked odds on to make an easy catch, won us the game.

He should of had a hat-trick as his disallowed goal looked good.

Definitely m.o.m. Just ahead of Dovin.

never in doubt was it, we know we can’t defend but they’re getting the job done, hoping that’s bidwell back in until the end of the season

I don’t think anyone is pretending we played well

Dausch scoring only goal of the game for St Alban's; Obikwu scoring earlier for Grimsby and Tavares scoring for Burton, though it looks like he went off injured.

Can Lampard mastermind another 3 points against Preston?

We didn’t play well but now we’ve got time to get more time of the training and catch our breath after a really busy period.

I see that as a big positive in terms of mentally to keep going. Should hopefully see a refreshed squad for Preston where we can play our 4-2-3-1

I hate this from some of our fan base .

All the best sides throughout history win ugly when they have too . We haven't suddenly become Prime Brazil 1970 !
Momentum is key and we have it , let's all enjoy the ride
I've got that same feeling of expectation that I had during the League One title season now. Imagine beating Sheff Utd in the final; it would almost make up for the last 2 heartbreaks.

Would take them or Sunderland. Sheff Utd for Hamer and O’Hare but feel like Sunderland we’ve been doing it since L1 so it’s tradition.

He really didn't , he was our best and most progressive centre back , he adds a lot of composure and leadership to the back line .
Without him today we lose that heavily
I thought he was excellent in a battling display

At times it was like he was playing defensive and up front! His runs into attacking areas are something I don’t ever remember another centre back every doing

After beating Blunderland in the semis. We can dream.

Exactly, I agree 100%. It’s the confidence, the believe and the spirit that a building momentum brings.

Our momentum at the moment is extremely encouraging.

We can play a back five that doesn’t include the defenders who make multiple serious errors in every game they play.

Would be amazing to beat them and see Hamer and O'Hare looking on while we raise the trophy .
Not that I'm bitter of course

My issue is that we didn't do anything to change things when we were getting battered. It was only a matter of time till Wednesday equalised. Frank should of acted sooner instead of waiting till after the inevitable happened.

Just think it sacrifices too much elsewhere. Maybe if we can get 343 working with Grimes. Thought Allen did well when he came on there actually bothering Bannan unlike Eccles

I would prefer to see 343 working of course. Just can’t see it yet, but I want to believe…
