Is this the same crypto coin launched by Trump and Melania?

Are people still mining at home? Is it worth it by the time the GPU and power is paid for?

Frankly I'm surprised to see westerners who are aware of this. I've been doing this since 2020 and I see a lot of people from South East Asia and Africa on there but not many Europeans or Americans.

(...Or maybe you are from those regions!)

Ohh so you just have the app running on your phone all the time?
Yeah - pretty much. Runs on a 24 hour cycle then press 'mine' again. It's difficult to understand what utility it brings as a crypto project - I don't know loads about crypto but kind of understand what coins like Solana or Ethereum bring as standout features.

Pi's very popular, has quite a significant user base which is relies heavily upon to build its utility.

What is the argument against crypto being a titanic bubble at this point?

There isn’t one. It’s a pyramid scheme. The hope is there’s more idiots after you than before you. Hence the desire to post on forums to get others onboard.

How much real money have you made?

The entire gamble with any crypto is as someone I used to know who held BTC said “I think there’s a lot more idiots to come”. There’s a decent argument Trump is about to mint a whole load of new idiots including the US Gov from the looks of it so investments in BTC or ETH might well go up. But be clear at some point they all will crash as outside of buying drugs they have no use case. The game is getting off before we hit peak rube.

On this? Absolutely 0.

Signed up in 2020 with no knowledge of crypto - what will be will be, no money lost and as things stand no money gained. It’s a speculative project for sure.

It’s meant to be going live in the first quarter of 2025 and from that point it’ll be possible that it’s picked up by exchanges.

My focus is more traditional methods of long term investments, this is just a what will be will be project.

This is why you should only stake what you can afford to lose.

You got many Pi, @Mr Panda ?

I’ve got about 1200 ready to go on Thursday - I finished my lockup last year.

Have you both got wind of any exchanges allowing UK trades? Bitget apparently works if done through desktop vs mobile which seems to restrict you. My cool off period is up around 8:30 so going to try moving a small amount across.

Mine are locked until May. Will just see what happens. Be interested in your experience in selling any

Reading this morning that deposits are now turned off on Bitget for UK users. Thankfully I only transferred 0.1 Pi!

As far as I understand there isn't any exchanges available now for UK and most US residents to trade when this launches tomorrow at 8am.
