If we finally beat Preston I'll start thinking about the Play Offs.
So you've not been on Booking.com yet then?

i have and it's still not a "must win game", lose or draw and the play offs are still on. Win and we may not get to the play offs.

i wish people would learn what a "must win game is"
They’ll be a few teams that will have nothing to play for towards the end of the season, playing teams around us and they’ll picking up easy points. Every team we play against from now until the end of the season bar Sunderland and maybe Oxford will be scrapping for the points.

Don’t bank on the teams above us slipping up much, especially with our run in. So yes, every game from now on is a must win.

Proper banana skin game this, sort of game in the past we slip up (Even discounting the fact it's PNE)

Solid Championship side, rate Heckingbottom as a manger at this level a lot, does what he says on the tin

Professional performance and a scrappy 1-0 in our favour🙌 PUSB

We have been winning games despite not been at our best. Eventually though I would argue our luck will run out so hopefully our performances will improve first. I do wonder if a change in formation back to 433 as players get fit will improve the performance. The key is improving performance whilst maintaining form. 433 we looked more dangerous going forward but leaky at the back. I'm hoping for a change in formation against Preston, but still want that clean sheet. So maybe a transitional game with a change in formation, 1 - 0.

We have moved on , in a positive way & you expect a small hick up along these bland fixtures , but not tomorrow.
Everything about our back room staff , leads you to now expect no stone unturned in our preparation , to get us another 3 points .
In Frank we trust !

I like the stadium, think it's smart

I have never seen it full though... ever

And we always get beat there
Their fans are always friendly too - probably because they've usually beaten us! They also seem to have an older age demographic than a lot of clubs. Nothing I can prove, but when I've wandered back to the coaches, there seem to be a lot of old timers ambling back home (including me!))

Yeh never ever had an ounce of bother going there

As you say though that may be cause more often than not they are usually leaving games against us pleased

Some decent boozers up there as well, good away day apart from the results.

Truly depressing place Deepdale. A genuine library.
& sorry to hear our own fans won't be turning up in big numbers tomorrow.
Completely agree on Deepdale although I have always found Preston a decent away day. Direct train, decent pubs outside the station for a pre/post game beer and never a sniff of trouble - just wish we could get a positive result there.

So yes, every game from now on is a must win.

For every game to be a “must” win it would mean we’d need 13 wins just to reach the play offs.

We lost to Stoke 4-0 in 22/23 leaving us 4 points off play offs with 7 games to go. It was more significant than our game tomorrow but wasn’t a must win

I'm in Block 11 (standing) for the first time tmrw with my youngest. We'll do our bit to get that block firing!

Hoping for 433 with Bidwell and EMC starting along with Grimes, Torp and Rudoni in the middle.

Dreading 541 with Latibeaudiere and Dasilva having a total mare for 60 mins before we try to salvage it!

1 game in our situation is just not "must win" all of us will drop points at times before the end of the season.

The concept of a game being 'must-win' is a bit like the argument about whether we are 'in a relagation battle'. It's meaningless, just a cliche. We want to win all games and the more we win the better our chances of whatever we're aiming for. Like the relegation battle, everyone is battling to avoid it from match one. Tomorrow is not 'must-win', no game is.
