Always wear a shirt at Glastonbury on the Thursday. Get more than a few “Sky Blue Armies” shouted at me. Also have decent conversations with fans of similarly sh*t clubs - lovely Oxford fellas a few years back and a tripping Carlisle fan last year, who was surprisingly lucid on his teams’ fortunes.

Sanctuary closed in summer 2004, and i'd pretty much given up going to big raves by summer 2005...... although did a couple of big venues after the Sanctuary........ Cov Skydome, and Nottingham Ice Arena spring to mind.

Bagleys was my favourite place. United Dance on a friday night, come out at 6am and get the first SIlverlink train back to Cov..... although pretty grim getting back to Cov as people were going about their weekend shopping etc.

Wasn’t really into the rave scene but knew a few lads in the 90,s who were into it. They told me about the Eclipse club and thought I’d give it a go one Saturday night. What an awesome atmosphere that place had. Left at about 2.30 in the morning and the place was still banging

Met an American in a bar at a hotel in Jamaica I was wearing my Cov top and he said that he had lived near Coventry in the 90’s as he was from Detroit and spent years here (as he was in the car industry).

Said he supported Cov and so did his son-he pointed out his son who was wearing a Cov top and introduced him ‘he was named after the place he was conceived-we call him Lem but his full name is Leamington Purcell’…

Met a fellow Cov fan ( who lives in Australia ) at a cricket 6's tournament in Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand last year .

I missed the Eclipse days by a few years.... but in the early 00's it reopened as The Institute and had some really good nights. Drum and Bass on friday nights and then some kind of House/HardHouse (i wasn't into House so not 100% sure) on saturdays.

I got thrown out on the opening night for falling down the stairs.

I was invited to play for Canada in the first World Cup in Derby last year. I turned it down a) because I was in England a few weeks before the tournament and
b) I thought Canada would be blown away every game.
In the end they finished 4th(knocked out by England)

My mate plays for England. They're a decent side tbf. I'm playing for Torquay in Portugal in April. I've finally made it into Europe ;)

Im just about still signed on for veterans (over 45s) league, where there are quite a few ex-pros still giving it a go. It’s great going up against/being in the same team as people I’ve actually heard of!!

I reckon walking football is next for me…arthritis allowing! In fact was chatting to an old colleague of mine just last night. He was telling me how great it is. He travels all over the place with it.

The club should most definitely consider getting some mugs like this on sale. Maybe even some newspaper clips.

While watching the Leeds game on tv in a Tenerife Irish boozer a few weeks ago, I started talking to a guy in a Cov top. He turned out to be an SBT occasional visitor called Neil Martin's Head. We both agreed we were extremely fortunate to concede only 2 goals !

Met a guy called Clive, birkenstock clogs and long floppy hair whilst on an Ayahuasca retreat in Peru. Great, great guy. His hair told a thousand stories and I've never seen anyone taketh the frogs poison so well, he vomited for at least an hour and seemed truly refreshed afterwards. Go Clive.

My partner 2 seasons ago gave his shirt away to a Bayern Munich fan who was here visiting for a few weeks. Hopefully we made a new fan! Coventry Scheiße does mean Coventry shirt doesn’t it? 😊

I’m thinking when I go back to Goa next Feb to take as many City shirts as possible and had them out around Cavelossim. So nearer the time I will start a thread for any donations of unwanted City shirts of all size's.

Not necessarily City fans but when I was in LA in 2014, I was sitting around the pool chatting to my friend and a couple directly asked me if I were from Coventry just because of my accent. Turned out they lived 2 minutes from me as well in Coundon

This was after the Planet.

Re-opened as The Institute, would be late 2000 or possibly during 2001.

However it only lasted a year or so. Not sure why.... the DnB nights always seemed busy, and the saturday nights appeared to be equally popular.
