Superb win. Rudoni will be a miss. Arm in a strap.

Hopefully just support while it settles down. Probably opened up the shoulder joint when scoring so there will be some bruising which will settle down quickly

We won, so that is the main thing. The good form can continue and we are now in the playoffs!

We did make it very hard for ourselves though, and were a bit complacent at times. The biggest problem was that our midfield was all over the place and in an odd shape in the second half. Eccles was not playing particularly well, but it all got changed around to accommodate Sheaf, and when he came on we fell apart.

I do wonder how it is going to work going forwards now, with him getting shoe horned back in. It wasn't the right sub today, but we got away with it. Mainly due to Oxford being absolutely terrible. I don't think we will be so lucky against better teams. Oxford haven't scored in 4/5 games, but we let them get two today. Hopefully we take it as warning.

Anyway, we're in the playoffs and it's our job to stay there for the rest of the season now. Game on!

what sub would you have made though?

ideally Torp is fit and you play him further forward with Sheaf and Grimes in the middle - Sheaf was solid when he came on so surely you’re not blaming him for Eccles being appaling, again?

We're playing better than the other teams we're battling it out with.
Wouldn't say we are playing better - but we are managing to pick up wins!
How many times have we seen other teams do that over the years and say "solid championship side"...
Need these wins with that bank of 3 games against three of the top four coming up.

That penalty from Simms was so lousy. So soft and weak and so easy to figure out which way it was going to go.

Poor second goal first goal foul on Kitching
Didn’t do too much else for me

Enjoyed that. By no means a marquee performance but hard fought against a side playing like a non-league outfit fighting for every decision from the officials.

I still feel like there's more to come from the side. Stoke really should sell out. This team is up for it.

Who's playing consistently well in the chasing pack? Most of them can have their good weeks then look Sunday league the following week.

We were the better team but soft goals out of nowhere is a concern. But it’s 3 points and now the playoffs are in our hands. Beautiful.

Our attacking play was very good. Could have had 6 today. Saka finish unreal.

Our subs are a bit odd, Not sure Eccles should have been on until right near the end and bring Person on just added to the danger.

We get punished far to easily when we make a mistake

We won most importantly - looked like the sun made it hard for both keepers during the game.

Officials were on LSD today though.

Never ever see those pens given, Thomas gets elbowed early doors and a player runs his studs down MVE's leg but nothing done. Books their player for diving (again rarely see it) but then the ball is about 5 foot out when Wright "kept it in" and they miss it.

Missed spells of the game but it felt a bit like we made harder work of that than we needed to. I think we need to be a bit less open when we're ahead in games. EMC leaves his left back massively exposed.
