Was Doug correct about the deck? (9 Viewers)

The fact that we are now in the top 6 with our final position in our own hands proves beyond any doubt that big Doug was 100% right to axe MR.

I was livid at the time but fair fucks to DK for making the difficult decision to part company with a hero, and to take a massive gamble on FL.

But having said that, I'll be on my feet applauding MR as a sky blues legend on Saturday, and I thank him for everything he did for our club, the guy took us from the gutter to within a penalty shoot out from the Premier league, and gave us amazing days out at Wembley, and great memories, all while dealing with sisu, the worst owners in our history.

Thankyou for everything MR 🩵

MR deserves loads of respect and plaudits for pulling our club out of a near impossible situation. He truly dragged us with the assistance of Adi and Lawrence from the most grim days to challenging for promotion from the Championship. However I think that the ultimate goal of the PL was beyond his grasp without the other 2 in his managerial success. FL has taken us to another level. Respect Robins for his immense contribution but his time has gone and back Frank.

Robins will always be a hero of the club. I didn't want him to go. However with hindsight it was time for him to leave. His hero status fully intact.

AFTER the game next week he deserves to have his name sung. Not during though, as that would be very disrespectful to Frank

I don't know about without the other two, but with the people appointed, it very obviously wasn't working. Perhaps with better appointments it may have been different, but we'll never know.

Tbf, I don't think we've been taken to another level, we've just been brought back to the level we were at before it went wrong this season. We're where we should be, and where we've been the last couple of seasons; one of those teams making a very serious claim for a play-off spot.

I think that there have been obvious improvements that were beyond MR. His issue with Kitching being the most obvious and what appeared to be his choice of coaching team.

Not sure whose coaching team you're referring to there, but it's inarguable that the one we have now is better than the one at the start of the season.

Kitching we'll probably never know what was going on. Perhaps it was Kitching himself decided that something had to change.

Obviously Doug was right about the squad

We added to a squad that finished 9th (and should’ve done better) yet some were peddling the idea that we were genuine relegation candidates 😂

Leeds away immediately springs to mind....🤢
A shocking performance against the side a level above everyone else in this division which is the only game we haven't won in the last 9?

How about a bit of perspective? We're above everyone in the current form table except Leeds. But if you want to pick and choose to our advantage in the last 9 we're even above Leeds and they haven't lost a league game since November.

Instead of trying to find faults with our side and Lampard we should be full of praise for what we have achieved.

He’s on about the Leeds away match where we didn’t even bother turning up, not the most recent game with Leeds

If DK was right then a large section of our fan base was wrong. Especially as the January transfer window appeared on the horizon and what some were saying on here, the players we needed. Often 5-7 players required, which was ridiculous.

He woke up this morning feeling fine
Doug's got fairgounds on his mind
He wants candyfloss and doughnuts cause they taste so good
(Oh yeah)
But it's the bumper cars and waltzers that really give him wood
