Linda McMahon (yes, really, that one - the one from WWF) confirmed as Education Secretary.

Trump wants to dismantle and dissolve the Department of Education.

Utterly fucked up.

Compulsory ‘suplex through a table’ for anyone talking in class.

As a former teacher I support this policy. I always wanted entrance music. Maybe a cool name like “The Educator” too.

I asked the same questions last week I think. What concessions could Russia possibly give, other than a promise to stop attacking Ukraine?

Well that’s essentially it isn’t it. An agreement on obtaining land - I don’t see what else there would be

John Sweeney on 5live saying Trumps actions and his experience interviewing him suggest the sex kompromat explanation.
Kompromat that's a new word to me, it's of Russian origin. 😁

Well exactly... Join the dots!
What kind of fucking stupid dull thought is that, the English language adopts words from many different cultures.

PS I think we are currently governed by a Kakistocracy, that's derived from Greek words if you must know. 😁

I bet that wasn't what your students called you. 😁

Russia already has 4 NATO members it shares borders with. At the end of the day, there has been a lot of talk about Ukraine having to make compromises, I see nobody in the ‘give peace a chance’ club on SBT saying what Russia should be conceding to make lasting peace a reality.

Ukraine in my scenario is conceding 20% of its territory, not getting compensation for the war and still has to rebuild towns and cities. It didn’t even start the conflict either. So I’m sorry, but if it doesn’t even get NATO membership then it’s just a glorified ceasefire before Putin returns.
Russia has been under punitive financial sanctions for 3 years, it's had money and assets frozen by most of the world's countries, or did you miss that?

Im sure Russia will feel no need to concede anything to Ukraine, stopping it's expansion further into Ukraine will be the best the defeated Ukrainians can realistically hope for.

People need to wake the fuck up and realise this war is over for Ukraine, it now has the blindingly obvious outcome it was always going to have, as some of us predicted 3 years ago.

Trump has effectively"forced" peace on Ukraine as president Zelensky was clearly happy to press gang more of his youngsters into the meat grinder.

Whatever the final small print of the peace agreement says, Ukraine being part of nato ain't going to happen, anyone who advocates for it is clearly utterly clueless as to Putin's reason for invading in the first place.

I actually don’t know how some people on here would have coped in the 80’s when we were told to prepare for nuclear attacks

I still keep a storage cupboard stacked with kitchen foil, just in case.

I reckon I could make several very decent hats.
What a stupid thing to do, I chucked my foil out and replaced it with toilet roll, I ain't getting caught out again. 😁

"If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. If European leaders’ tweets were missiles, the Kremlin would now be a smoking ruin. But what Ukraine really needs is a swift end to hostilities and practical help to become free, prosperous and independent. Everything else is just virtue signalling, paid for in Ukrainians’ blood."

In your view how should the West have reacted to the Russian invasion?
