We got away with that. Thomas will probably never score a goal like that all career! Lampard's subs were strange and it put us on the back foot, and ultimately cost an equalizer.
But here we are 9 in 10.
Robin's takes credit home. He almost pulled off a terrific draw from 2-0 down. They will keep improving and be safe.
Now we have to look at our injuries and fingers crossed they are all OK.
I hope you go down to be honest.

Ref the Pen;
Looked like Simms could have just tapped it in ....
(Can anybody confirm?? - was raging at the ref)
But think he thought it was a nailed on pen too....
Wasn’t Simms miles away to the right as you face the goal with the ball bouncing to the left. He would have had to be twice as fast as MVE or Haji to have reached the ball. And if a foul or offside committed by EMC had already been given, any goal “scored” would have been disallowed making us even more pissed off. Frank was pissed off in his after match interview. about not giving the pen.

The crowd looked immense on the tv. All the retro kits mixed in with the new stuff really does look fantastic.
A mate of mine who supports Newcastle went in the away end with another mate who supports Stoke. He messaged me about midday saying the mix of kits was fantastic. He also told me in the summer that Dovin is a massive talent and tipped for big things.

Weirdly at half time, I saw a fella in the concourse by singers corner with a big Newcastle tattoo.

We got away with it this week, got to perform a lot better than that in the next run of games. Brilliant finish from Thomas, composure from a centre half out of this world.

Been saying this for two months now tbf

Thank fuck we managed to pull that one out of the bag and that penalty decision didn't change the outcome.

Injuries are a pisser, but the decision to bring on BTA, especially when Wright came on anyway a few minutes later, was baffling.

I think the explanation here is he sees Wright as a striker and nothing else.

Weve certainly had the rub of the green in some games .. Sheffield wednesday notably .. but its swings and roundabouts tbh

Yeah we had all swings early in the season and all roundabout last now (if that’s the way it works). Better to be lucky than good. I’ve long maintained this division is more about momentum than quality outside the top three or four.

You don’t win 9 out of 10 without being good.

Has seeing Robins triggered you to spout shite again?

With respect in this league you don’t win 9 in ten without being decent. In regards to luck, we didn’t get a clear stonewall penalty and an offside equaliser was allowed.

Seems to me luck was against us today and we made our own

I mean we just have. We’ve not blown anyone away, only won 2 by more than a goal and have had maybe three or four good halves of football throughout. Doesn’t matter tho cos we’re fifth.

Defensively we need to shore things up if we’re presumably sticking with this formation for the rest of the season. The spirit and positivity in the side is great atm, but we’ve been riding our luck for quite a few weeks now.

I disagree I think we’ve controlled games decently well outside the last two and Wednesday and got what we deserved.

Not saying it’s perfect as feel the loss of one centre back has made us less comfortable but football is a game of opinions. Let’s just enjoy the run can’t last forever

I think there is some truth to what you're saying , but generally a team like us that scores plenty of goals are always going to be in with a chance of winning football matches , Newcastle keegan esc

You always get the result you deserve, or at least the vast majority of the time.
