There is no knots here mate

I've explained how I thought he had a poor game , you've disagreed and proceeded to try and make me feel silly for some reason , so I'm asking you to put across your argument as to why he played well yesterday , and you cant seem to do that .
I’ve not tried to make you feel silly, I’m just pointing out that you argument conflicts previous thoughts which suggests it’s an issue with the player rather than his performance.

I guess it's the difference between winning games " in spite" of an inviduals performance and winning "because" of an individuals performance . They're not mutually exclusive in my eyes if we win

Sure , but all of the stomata yesterday point to ellis not really being involved and when he was he generally gave the ball away or made a bad pass

He didn't have a good game and thats a reasonable assessment

On a side note it was pretty incredible that we had our captain and top scorer on the bench yesterday when 2-0 up

Think it’ll be interesting to see how Haji does down the middle. He’s looked not great since coming back. I think it’s a role isuse

If you look at the first two goals he blocks their defender for the first and actually occupies 2 for torps second. It's clear he has been given a specific role and it's working. If you want to drill down into the granular minutiae then it might be different. But in the big moments he did his job

Well considering most of his career is played as a CF and its only really us that played him left I'd suggest that its not the role
I’m not really sure on what point you’re trying to make.

my question was we will see how Haji does in the CF role in this lampard side and how it’s set up

Just to add, with him occupying space and CBs it means people become unmarked like yesterday as per the post or Rudoni at Oxford

He’ll go on the wing eventually, Simms has added a lot of value with his hold up play and physicality against defenders. Wright’s most impactful moment yesterday was when he picked up the ball and ran at defenders down the left flank.

Wright did put pressure on the defender which led to a poor header that ended up with Thomas and the winner.

I think it’s more than there a different roles for a CF. Playing as a target man who is to occupy space and bring people in isn’t the same as how Wright would want to play imo

Yep agreed if EMC is out can see Haji being LW again.

I think I read we have scored more headed goals than any team across Europe's top leagues. That's crazy

The first goal he absolutely blocked the player , the second he didn't do anything but watch the ball get passed to torp .

His overall game was poor

Many on this forum dont seem to think haji can play through the middle which is where hes scored most of his career goals , is my point

He can have an overall poor game if he influences the occasions we score and win

This is nonsense , not every player is playing well every game even when we win
Yeah nonsense to you. Not to me and the countless people who’ve liked my posts agreeing.

Fortunately it’s a game of opinions and yours isn’t the final say

No its nonsense, several players have played poorly in various different matches , thats not opinion that's a fact ..

Weird to suggest otherwise
