IF... one of Collins & Wilson get injured...

Does that give us dispensation to bring in an emergency loan? Or does it need to be both?

Has to be every pro keeper at the club out apparently

"In line with Regulation 57, Clubs can register an Emergency Goalkeeper Loan if they don't have any Professional Goalkeepers available due to injuries, suspensions or international call-ups"

Are Wilson and Collins considered professionals? Look like amateurs most of the time lol 😂

This. People are forgetting how shite Wilson was because Collins had a bad period.

I'm not a fan of either, but Collins is slightly better.

Not sure I agree.
But one thing Wilson does have is confidence, Collins looks shot, which probably isn't surprising given the abuse he got at Pompey.

Whichever one it is just hope we get behind them.

Not to sure why you'd expect saddles to be able to give a comprehensive medical analysis in less than 24 hours before any scans take place.

But given there was people insisting he'd broken his ankle I welcome the info we've got, just wish it had been happier news.
You never heard of the award winning 24 Hours In Saddle Custody?

I think that's the full quote actually, so we should be fine in applying.

I’ve watched it back a few times now and completely disagree

It’s at best clumsy and reckless

But taking into account he’s a player who has had similar injuries and the fact I think their manager sent them out with intent to hurt one of our players off the back of the Bassette incident in the reverse fixture - I think it was cynical and deliberate
It’s reckless it’s a yellow

Does Collins count as a professional and Wilson.

This.

all acknowledge neither are the ideal or the future as a no.1.

BUT we have no choice now to select either, im torn, clearly Collins plays due to his feet which are better than BW, but he looks mentally done. We’ve got to just give them support.

in addition this is far from terminal, we are 5th ffs! Come on, onto Saturday, where we will end their run

It's not a great option but both of them have played for us at Wembley before. Collins even played in a previous play off final too for Barnsley.

Prior to being dropped for Collins last season Wilson was being really bad.
The worst thing to come from this will be the 'why not Wilson?' comments from our fanbase. He seems to be getting better the longer we don't see him too, think we're at prime Buffon point for some now. The unfortunate reality when the shithouse plays is rather different.

Collins seems to be preferred over Wilson, which makes the new contract a bit strange.

The crux of it is, there's no getting away from the fact losing Dovin is a huge blow for us not just this last 7 games, but for the first quarter of next season (if worst case is indeed confirmed by scan)

Collins and Wilson are nowhere near the levels of Dovin. He has won us points on his own, we can all agree with that, whereas Laurel and Hardy have a habit of costing us points

None of us want Collins or Wilson inbetween the sticks (personally feel a yoghurt pot would command the box more) but hopefully this induces the defence to be as rock solid as they can to ensure the keepers now have the bare minimum work to do (hopefully Binks is nowhere near the side agin this year)

With Kitching back Saturday and probably DaSilva back in, that will hopefully improve things

A proper Ben sheaf also helps screening. About time he also turns up, hope Lampard sat him down and laid in on crystal clear.

positive we win Saturday.

Not sure how you can call yourself a fan and pour this amount of vitriol at our players. For someone with such ITK 'status', I assume you have met these guys. Do you treat them with such scorn in person? I've never met Collins, but I have met Wilson several times - lovely bloke, with time for the paying public (even when he's out having a coffee with friends) Won the golden glove, so presumably has a bit more presence than a yoghurt pot. Don't know why you have to be so nasty.

Absolute stinker that - we have ridiculously rotten luck with ACLs to key players throughout the years
Jodi Jones twice, Tony Andreu, Jobello. Tyler Walker, Biamou, Ohare, Isaac Moore, and now possibly Dovin. I'm sure there's another one as well

There’s lots of lovely blokes in the world who also have no business starting in goal for us. Look at how Wilson has performed since that season, he just isn’t up to standard. Collins this season has performed among the worst in the division for how many shots he concedes that he simply shouldn’t.

We did get a Collins clean sheet when he had no shots on target to face. That’s pretty much what this defence needs to ensure until the season ends.

We have no option now so get behind both of them. If they fuck up then can have a go. What's point of doing it beforehand?

They will no destiny has given them one last chance and I assume both will be motivated to take it. Let's see what they can do

Once again, obviously I’ll get behind whoever starts in goal. I just have no faith in either of them because of nearly 2 seasons’ worth of evidence they aren’t good enough.

Kitching’s return does at least give the defence a chance.

The same people who think it’s outrageous to clap a former player will happily throw all kinds of shit at our own players. Baffling.
We have another poster who clutches his pearls at people who don’t call Chris Wilder an excellent manager despite having not once praised the job Robins did here.

Absolutely but that masks a lack of ability. I don't want to be harsh on him because he's a great bloke and had a phenomenal season 2 years ago but there's a reason a Golden Glove winner has been 2nd/3rd choice since and a reason why he's not been eyed up by other Championship clubs.

Either one, we have to get behind because that day at Pompey was pathetic. The bloke was hounded by his own fans. It was grim.

He conceded 4 terrible goals and laughed about it with the opposition. Not a great case for the defence.

Ive had a beer with Collins and everyone was mocking him and he was laughing along. When passing him a beer it was remarked 'actually be careful you'll drop it'

We have more serviceable backup options for Dovin than we do any other position on the pitch. You never want to lose an obvious starter to a serious injury, but Dovin may be the most replaceable of all of them - this is not the season-ending blow it’s being painted as.

If I were him I’d have just wanted to go straight down the tunnel and forget I’d played that badly. He found it funny.

Fair enough. I didn't see it.

Either way it was grim. We cannot have a repeat of it going into these final games. We've got to be funny behind them. As fans, we know more than most how detrimental it can be when players are playing with fear
