Funny because there's people fuming because O'Hare was getting dogs abuse.

I don't get how we are a soft touch?
I'm sick of going over the same old stuff, so for one final time - For applauding an opposition player after he has just scored against us

I bet you any money Sheffield United would do it if Billy Sharp would have ever scored against them

It's done now, onto next week - I am deflated about Dovin's injury more than the result as it was a tall order to go there and win

Onto next week

Well, tonight isn't season ending. We always knew we were gonna struggle to take any points from Sunderland, Sheff and Burnley. We got 3 points already so a loss away at a clearly much better team isn't the end of the world. Rudoni is back, Patterson has done enough for me to stake a claim of a starting shirt v Burnley. Not all bad. They're 24 points ahead of us for a reason. We always knew the Blades, Burnley and WBA games were gonna be hard. We just need to make sure we pick up points in the other games and we know full well Brizzle and WBA have got tough games to come too where they'll drop points. Brizzle will hopefully lose to Burnley tomorrow. It's not the end of the season and not the end of the world.

And just like that, BOTH Brizzle and WBA are beaten. Like I said, not the end of the world. Plus Bristol still have Sunderland, Leeds and WBA to play. In the WBA game one of the 2 will drop points. Or better still it's a stalemate and they finish it with just a point each. I'm quietly confident we'll finish within the play offs. Our run in is much preferable to Bristol. It's what happens when we get there that worries me. Or worse still, if we actually win the bloody thing. Judging by how easily last seasons whipping boys dispatched us last night, we're miles off ready.

So Sheffield United are also a soft touch? 🤣

Well Dovins out for apparently 6-9 months.

We need a new keeper, Collins needs to look for a new club.

The quality between the two sides last night was night and day, I've said it over and over again, Binks, Thomas, Kitch, Joel are not good enough if we want to get promoted.

Sure the club can keep hold and Kich and Bobby, but we need 1 centre half that's much better than both these players, and them we need a back up centre half that's 33/34 years old, nothing special just bags of experience.

When I watch Binks, some of the decision making last night was woeful, he needs to be shipped out, let's hope Robins comes in for Joel or Binks in the summer.

Early on in the season we were shipping goals in week after week, the debate was very much "it's a midfield issue", the problem was solved in the midfield, Grimes came in, Rudoni started really impressing, Torp started playing well and Allen when given a chance worked his socks off, but the same problem kept reoccurring, week in week out we conceded goal after goal.

It's almost a testament to just how talented our attacking players are, Sakamoto, EMC, Wright, Rudy, Torp coming up with 2 or 3 goals per game moat weeks, because otherwise we either lose the game or throw away the 3 points with a draw.

Either Burnley or Shef U will get automatics, meaning the other side will be in the play offs. At this moment in time we are not at he level of either sides.

If we are to take our club to the next step, the problems need fixing. A new goalkeeper, sure that has helped, some incredible saves that have kept us in a game, new midfielder in Grimes, sure he has come in and looks a top player, but the problems are still there. Left back, Centre backs are not good enough to be playing for a club that wants to play premier league football.

This isn't a post meant to moan or complain, Kitch and Bobby for me can improve but we cannot get promoted with Binks, Bobby. Kitch, Joel and our left backs.

It's actually a really exciting reality tbh, we are literally 2 or 3 players short in my opinion, from becoming a side that gets automatic promotion.

One where the player tried to take Binks head off quite funny, not a word, Campbell with a physical coming together with Grimes, something said between them afterwards, not even a talking to for him after the incident with the goalie, shit ref,why did Haji go off when Simms came on.late yeah but get em on together.
I think I said a few weeks ago we'd be lucky to make the PO's, we're certainly inviting a challenge.
He cannot seem to get it into his head, how good we were last yr, Wright left, Simms centre

I don’t think we did an awful lot wrong last night, we went 1-0 down to a screamer and it’s v difficult to comeback from that.

They’re both pretty rubbish goalkeepers. Dovin will probably be back for the next game and after Burnley, we play teams mostly in relegation battle so they are games we should win with or without Dovin, imo.

You’re overreacting imo and you’ve made a habit of this all season.
I disagree. We looked toothless up front until the last 10 minutes. The defence was all over the place and they should realistically have scored 5. We escaped an even worse drop in our goal difference. Their goalie had virtually no saves to make. Our first corner was way into the second half. They mis kicked for a certain goal and we blocked loads of shots in that 15 second half minutes where they were all over us. If Tom Cannon had been any good, we would have been embarrassed.
See Derby away. Playing relegation threatened sides at the end of the season is not ideal, unless they are already down.

I get we got stuffed at Leeds this season using this, but sometimes the Robins and Viveash plan of playing two defensive wide players against the top 3 away gives you a better chance of getting something out of the game. They used Maatsen, JDS and MVE in the wide attacking roles several times.

Very good point tbf.

I believe we have a brilliant squad, we really do, but it's a squad that has consistently shipped in too many goals, this is if we want to be promoted.

I like Kitching, I think he's our best centre back.Bobby is too hit and miss for me. It is an absolute priority we spend whatever funds we have in the summer on at least 1 centre half that is a level above what we currently have, I have consistently mentioned Tanganga.

Even if we sign only Tanganga, get it done. Our centre backs are still developing, we need someone in there that is very much in their prime.

Looking at who we sell, I'm letting Binks go, Collins stays if Dov's is out for 6-9 months.

DaSivla and Bidders, again this position needs improving, but my absolute priority is bringing in a centre back that stands out in this division. Our side would be top 3 next season if we prioritise signing a top centre back, we don't need anymore forwards and we don't need any more midfielders.

Our loaned out players need bringing back and being utilised, for example 3-0 against Sunderland, I'm very much bringing on the younger players.

I see our centre back position being the reason we are 5th and not 2nd/3rd the smallest of detail is essential for success, and for me that it's buying a top centre back.

Agreed that we looked toothless but the suggestion Sheff U should’ve ‘realistically had 5’ is ridiculous. Their xG was 1.64. 2 good chances and they took them plus Hamer’s FK.

They’re not a team you want to go 1-0 down against because Sheff U are happy being out of possession.

The wider question we should have for Lampard is what’s his plan for when we go behind in games?

In the games we’ve conceded first, we’ve won once out of 6 against rock bottom Hull and two draws against Cardiff. It’s only 7 games and losing to WBA, Leeds and Sheff U isn’t terrible reading.

He pissed off on a free to a club in the same division. Had he gone up a league or abroad I doubt it would have been anything like a ‘lovers tiff’.

He signed the best offer on the table. He ended up at a better team, earning more money. What should he have done differently?
I didn’t argue that he shouldn’t have done that, but if you want to know why he got booed then leaving in that fashion is never going to make you Mr Popular.

It’s all pantomime really, but I find the people trying to rationalise their different reactions to Hamer, O’Hare and Gyokeres as if they all didn’t do exactly the same thing in orchestrating their moves away to be bizarre.

Because most men are children in grown up bodies. Case in point being the grown men around me declaring they don’t care about *insert opposition player* because all they care about is another man who kicks the round thing for their team.

It’s easily explained and no big deal. COH is being very well compensated either way.
