Mine has to be beating Manchester United 3-2 at Highfield Road at the end of 1997, brilliant match and brilliant performance, all summed up by Beckham slipping over and ballooning a free kick late on.

They were the days:claping hands:

My favourite was Boxing Day 1999, Cov 3 Arsenal 2, Keano was on fire against an Arsenal side that featured the famous back 5 plus Petit, Overmars & Thierry Henry

Cov 5 norwich 4 in 1976. ( Would love to see the highlights of that match) and also cov 4 man city 2. Fergie hat trick, about 1977. Great second half after being 2-1 down at half time. Does'nt get talked about much does that game but the second half was propably still the finest performance ive seen following cov.

I love that game, I remember Keane's overhead kick at the near post. The Man Utd game I have less fonder memories as I was in Butlins with the family :(

My favourite game though was when we beat Newcastle 4-1 in 1999. Goals form Carlton Palmer, Keano, Hadji and a wonder strike from Paul 'Willo' Williams from near the half way line. :claping hands:

I forget who scored for them

Oh my word, I've been to hundreds of games over the years but missed all of the above!!!

Forest 5-4 at Highfield Road was good, Man City 4-3 Lee Hughes scored late just after they equalised and I'll never forget Derby 6-2 when we said goodbye

The 0-0 against Stockport was a cracker...

Seriously though probably one of the games under Eric Black. Was it PNE when we were 3 up in 8 minutes or something?

Of course the best of the lot was the 3-1 home victory against Wolves (including Ernie Hunt !) in 1967 which made us Champions of Division II. We don't get many crowds of 50.000 plus these days. Now we all remember that one, don't we ?

I liked the 5-1 against Liverpool in about 1992, when Bugsy and Quinn both scored a couple, but in 1987 our 4-3 win against Spurs was a classic, with Cyrille scoring the winner in the last few minutes.

There were so many great games that season.

You've picked out 2 of the best but there was also beating Liverpool with 10 men (well with Ray Graydon on the pitch but unable to move more than a yard or so), beating Chelsea 5-1, beating B'ham 4-0, Wolves 3-0 and the last game of the season when Peter Shilton somehow kept out Fergie's header to win the title for Forest.

Oh to have Ferguson, Wallace and Hutchison in the team today..............

Beating Spurs 4-3 at Christmas in the run-up to the Cup Final. Cyrille heading in after his first effort hit the bar in the last minute.

Beating Chelsea 3-1 when they had to wear our away kit and LeBouef tearing it off and throwing it on the ground with disgust at the final whistle. :)

Too many games to mention but certainly any game when David Speedie lobbed the goal keeper to win the game. A very special trademark from the man

Best ever league game V Wolves 1967... 51K at Highfield Road... 1 down at half time, then that little Scottish genius Ian Gibson got us going... 3-1 brilliant day.. however the best game I ever saw was our 3-2 win over West Ham in the League Cup, 2 down at half time

Speedo was awesome, possibly his hatrick against Sheff Wed was my fave.

But crikey, just how many goals did David Smith set up back in the day? Some cracking crosses in the Speedie compilation, lovely left-foot. I always remembered him as too slow to beat a man, but this footage proves otherwise-repeatedly in some examples!

My favourite was he 3-3 draw against Wimbeldon in about 1994. Not an important fixture but a cracking game with Isias hitting the post in the last minute otherwise we'd have won 4-3

!And the 2-1 win at Spurs to stay up on the last day of the season in about 97 was pretty good too!

5 - 2 win at Gillingham when Richard Shaw scored his only ever CCFC goal?? I waited so long for him to score n was great to see it fly in (pretty awesome finish aswell :) ). I'm easily pleased! Bet no1 else wud choose a fixture v Gillingham lol.

Another would have to be last game at Highfield Road. Emotional day finished off with a brilliant result (thanks Big Mo for your woeful performance lol) and a sing song on the pitch! Plus not forgetting beating man u at Highield Road too!

The Spurs game without a doubt, a good old HR winters game. Cyrille headed against the bar came back out and he headed it in. Also a great goal from an impossible angle from Bennett. How I miss those days, real football.

Absolutley loved Speedo as a player..

I remember being at an away match at Maine Road & all the Cov fans singing "speedie must stay"..

That was a bloody awesome game. Kids over the wall on the track and grass area. Wow. "Those were the days my friend, I'd thought they'd never end" (Mary Hopkin) Unfortunately, they did.

City vs Sunderland 5th round in, I believe, 1962-3. We won against the Black Cats 2-1 with Big George Curtis getting a headed goal towards the end. Magic! Lost the 6th round to ManU. Gutted.

Do you mean the first game in the all seater stadium, with Steve Whitton scoring for us (I think...).

If so, Best and Charlton had been gone from United for about a decade by then.

The big win against "that" United team was in about '68 when Chris Cattlin made his debut marking Best. I think that was a 2-0 win - I was too young to go to games in those days...........

Dear God - and I'm so old I'm confusing my games ~ I actually won the match ball against Man Utd once - but we'd won and they refused to sign it.
