I called for him to be rested last week, it's no suprise that he's picked up an injury, it was inevitable, you can't expect a high energy player to be at his peak for 3 games in a week and not suffer a reaction.
Piss poor management by Frank on that score.

Agree on that last line

Also, if he picks Collins again, people surely have to ask why

We seem to get way more injuries under Lampard. It’s been ridiculous recently.

I'd imagine that decision was based on medical data and not just a whim, (I'd imagine it was the same with the decision to rest Sheaf).

And we don't know for sure if it's true or if it was an impact injury.

We said the same when wright Sheaf and EMC were out, lampards done well getting more out of our average players, backs to the wall sometimes throws up a few surprises. battling 1-0 😉👍 keep the faith We’re nearly there
We might well get over the line, but with the calibre of goalkeeper and defenders we are going to have at our disposal if Milan is indeed injured and out for a while I cannot seeing us getting over two legged tie and a game at Wembley, the available players without a drastic improvement are simply not good enough

Can't help but get the feeling with the amount of cheap injuries we have picked up this season it is not meant to be - Thomas, Torp, Wright etc. - Not even to mention Dovin, I mean when does a goalkeeper ever do his ACL ffs

cheer up lads, we’ve been battling injuries all season and we’re still right in there, whoever comes in is probably at the same level as most the Luton team, its all about who wants it more, after the Plymouth performance it should be us 👍

You had posters on here in shock lampard had rested jds and sheaf though. He can't win

Mve played imo because he's best and only proper RB we have and had we beat Plymouth I believe we would have clinched playoffs as Boro lost. That's why lampard would have played him

He stayed fit all season long somehow. Damn shame if he doesn't play again this campaign

One game at a time mate, derbys team was battered when they beat us, we can do the same 👍

Keep the faith, Luton will have their problems too.

Squeaky bum time of the season.

We'd of snapped your hand off to be in this position when Frank joined the club.
ITS IN OUR HANDS!
Wish someone would have snapped Collins hand off but I guess it wouldn't make any difference he's not using it anyway

Well it backfired spectacularly.
If we do make the playoffs, we could be missing a key player, and as you pointed out, we have no cover there.
Not good.

Play strongest team but also rest everyone, proof managers can't win.
Turns out everyone is injured anyway so it doesn't matter.

Love a makeshift team TBF. Usually a meltdown on here then a performance on the pitch.
I'm chill about today, I already think we're going to lose. I'll just be pissed if we have a pile of injuries for Boro, we need as many fit as possible.

It's not data or a whim, it's common sence.

The guy who's played more minutes than anyone else, in the position you have zero cover for, plays 3 games in a week????

And suprise suprise, he looks fucked, has his worst game of the season, AND picks up an injury.

A blind nan could see he needed resting.
If your stats don't tell you that, and your common sence don't tell you that, and your years of playing top flight football don't tell you that, then there's something seriously wrong!

He orobably thinks he’s a pussy. Lampard played 2000 minutes more in 06/07

You don’t rest players for games that could determine whether you make the playoffs. The time for managing MVE’s minutes was weeks if not months ago.

Don't agree with that, and I'll use last week's performance as evidence.

I’d go a back 5 with either Sakamoto or Eccles as RWB
Something needs to change, we can't keep conceding goals every time there's a shot on goal.
But we also need to keep possession better and play in their half not ours.
We need to perform how we did against Sunderland and West Brom.
We can do it against decent teams, but struggle when we play shit ones.
On a plus note, Luton need a win, so will have to come at us rather than sit tight.
